Again, not sure how much I can say about this that doesn't explain what's already happening. This whole series of pages as been devoted to sorting out the kids various family situations and showing them to the viewer, so here's Grant's.

Needless to say, in spite of being on the cover, Grant's folks don't appear in this chapter. Poor guy.

But on the plus side we see more Lenore, who's quickly becoming a favorite side-character of mine. She's just so freaky to draw and look at, I love it. ^^ And in spite of the evil, black text, I picture her voice sounding tiny and polite, like the turrets in Portal.

We also get another "look" at Guy, the Invisible Boy. I think Valerie's hanging out with him 'cause Heather's with her parents. We're building on a gag from his last appearance about John Cena's "You Can't See Me" catchphrase.

I can't tell if it was part of Cena's gear or if it was Martin's idea, but putting camouflage on Guy was a pretty funny, if subtle, visual gag.

Heh. All Adam on the You Can't See Me thing this time. Initially put Guy in what were Cena's colors at the time of red and blue, then when I commented on it it just sort of wound up being rolled with.

Anyway, think this one came out solidly. He and Lenore seem to both be shaping up as among the more prominent of the secondary characters, even if neither's gotten too much screentime just yet.

As for the subject of Grant's parents - yeah, can see them on the cover page at least, but won't be any sight of them in this chapter. Not sure when they'll actually turn up in the story proper, you'd need to ask Adam there.

I guess Guy could also double for Little Jimmy.
