And that wraps up this chapter! It has been the longest in any of the comics to date, but here's hoping everyone's enjoyed the ride. The next chapter will be a great deal shorter, though it's still fairly long in its own right.

Not a whole lot else to say on this one, but I'm pretty happy with it. I like that effect with the lamp - I had to play around with that for a bit before I got it down just right, but pretty happy with how it all turned out.

Readers may notice something different here, with that "End Of Chapter" bit in the corner of the last panel. That's something WaR and BP've done from the beginning, and Adam decided - a fair bit after this page had been finished actually - to start doing it with Blues and edited it in here. We'll also be getting a filler page before the start of the next chapter also in that vain, which will touch back on what Aurora's up to these days. Stick around!

The book Jake is reading is Watership Down, an epic tale of loss, journey, invading armies, glorious battles, and the tyranny of oppression, told from the perspective of cuddly bunnies on the English countryside. Go pick it up, it's awesome. Yeah, I don't think Jake was gonna go for anything too saccharine but needed substance, and this is a legitimately good book you can read as both a kid and grown-up. I can see Jake being the kind of guy who'd go with the "Don't read it to my kids if I wouldn't read it myself" approach.

Heheh... Wanted to try something different with the transition this time, hence the lamp, and think it came out nice. I also finally improved how I draw Bunkbeds, so they don't look like these enormous brown blocks.

Yeahhhhh, I kinda was jealous of the End Of Chapter bit over in the other comics for a while. It does a good job punctuating the finality of the page, especially when you end on a memorable image, which I try to do wherever possible.

And now we see a bit more of the Blue Blood Hero project. What exactly does it lead to? We'll have to see. ^^

That is a really cute scene, and I don't care what those docters are saying I'm getting a very strong "this is so not going to end well" vibe from that project.
