Y'know, given we have Nicky growing twice his usual size only to drop down to normal on being touched, maybe I should've given him blue overalls instead of white.

Jenny's two-for-two on hugs so far for this chapter, guess to make up for how long it took for her to get around to one in the last one. Speaking of Jenny, the joke about someone with super-speed being underwhelmed by something like a roller coaster is kind of an old one, but still, it tends to be pretty fun and I like the way Adam depicted it.

Besides that, I don't have a whole lot to say on this one, but hope everyone enjoys!

Ugh... Great, now I'm gonna hear the Mario-Shrink Sound every time I see that panel.

But yeah, didn't want all the humor in the chapter to just come from Fortress's Calvin & Hobbes style off-perception of Reality, so tried to throw in gags about the kids themselves. I guess like Martin said, some of these might be old hat, but enjoyed doing them all the same.

Recall when I was drawing this, I was making the ride Nicky was trying to go on a Ferris Wheel (even though it was a roller coaster in the script) just because I wasn't paying attention I guess. Then when I got to wondering why Valerie didn't want Nicky going on one of those I caught myself.

Like the bedtime story thing, the gags for this came from a short story me and Martin wrote between each other, this time one I did. Can't say how many others we'll see interpreted, but are surely plenty to draw from.

We see a few more recurring extras here, Vincent, the plant girl, and the boy who looks like Pit.... Also the bloke in the background of panel four was drawn to resemble Big Macintosh.

Yeah, I went kinda crazy with the cameos this time around. Tune in Wednesday to see what I mean.

Who is that behind Grant? It looks like Vincent, but I'm under the impression he's a recluse and only comes out in cold weather...

Heh... Well, the comic is set in Texas; that doesn't give him much time to leave the house. ^^ That'd be him.

I wonder what Heather was trying to say before Val's big sister radar interrupted their conversation?

My guess is she was trying to get an explanation about the costume she saw in Val's bag.

Heheh... Nah, I think it was just about some everyday topic. But don't worry- there is at least a little payoff to the costume thing in here. ^^
