Not a whole lot to say on this one, mostly because I didn't really do anything with it; I asked Adam to handle this one so I could get to the one after it.

I will say I remember Adam being kind of unsure about this joke and running it past me before he wrote this page. I forget exactly what his issue was, maybe he can go into that, but... Yeah, I naturally suggested he go right ahead with it, and I do think it's a fun joke.

Grant's talented. I know from trying it a time or two, putting pants on over shoes isn't easy.

Heheh... Wow, didn't even think aobut that bit with the shoes... Grant IS talented. Or maybe his pants are just really baggy. Would help him in the putting on/removal of them to reveal his costume.

But basically, the joke was gonna be having this conversation going on at the bus where the kids were all being loaded back on. Su would've spotted the group and fussed over them, the team coming up with the excuse that Val went back for her friends, like they're discussing here. The second-to-last panel would've had Jenny asking Andy and Grant what they did with Darkskull and the final panel would've cut to him duct-taped to the carousel, surrounded by police waiting to arrest him.

Anyway, I was really, really split over which iteration of the same joke to use, so I pitched them both to Martin and he told me he liked this one more. The problem with that idea was that it meant that that friggin' Carousel had to be in every single panel instead of just the last one.

Seriously, that thing was the biggest pain. Drawing it was infuriating. Hope you like it 'cause I'm not ever putting a carousel in the comics again.

That said, I did like basing it off those zoo-carousels I rode on as a kid. Y'know what I mean? Where it's not just horses, there's giant rabbits and elks and ostriches and stuff on there. The ostrich was always my favorite to ride as a kid. Those things were always really ornate and cool; just loved riding 'em.

Hope you guys enjoy. ^^

Public humiliation for the win, and oddly fitting since he called Casey a pink pony and Andy's gone back to get that giant stuffed pink pony that he won at the dunking booth, once the police find him Darkskull will become a total laughing stalk and it's a good thing he doesn't seem to care about his job anymore because he'll be booted off the force for sure after this.

Heheh.... Yeah, I get the feeling Sanchez is gonna win that lawsuit he's got outstanding against the police force given this incident. ^^ But yeah, who doesn't love some good old public humiliation?

Okay, I admit, +1 for Andy. That idea is both conventional and humiliating. I'm thinking that Darkstalk is going to be Andy's villain, what with the extra-evil look in Forrest-vision and all.

Heheh... Not a bad idea. Aside from Spencer/Jake, I have trouble pairing the kids up with specific enemies. ^^
