Yeaaaaah, this sequence gets sorta weird. ^^ Really experiment a lot with what McCay is capable of in both storytelling and visuals.

The idea of interrupting Darkskull's narration I thought would be really cool, and a telepath would be a way of doing that without pulling a Deadpool-like cartoony effect. But McCay could take it even further and just stroll right into Darkskull's world and give it an outsider's perspective. The ability to try that on its own is worth exploring if given the chance. ^^

I'm worried this might be rubbing Darkskull's insanity too much in the viewer's face; you don't really need someone normal in the insane world to show how insane it is. It's pretty apparent on its own. But going somewhere with it and figured that it's be a missed opportunity to not pair these together while I could.

Naturally, I wanted to play with the background too. Obviously the first panel is Darkskull's cell and the second is the store McCay is at (where he presumably just bought that beer), but the next panels go even further. The fourth panel has Darkskull's cell wall giving way to the (poorly-drawn) gas-pumps, and the last has the store with the bars of the cell in the distance. It's a cool effect but doesn't get used again in this sequence. Maybe it's a good thing; not sure how apparent it is.

Able to comment today, unlike with BP, since my situation's a little better off now. Things still aren't entirely resolved for me, but hook or crook if I can hang in until Friday things should be alright.

So then, not a lot to say on this one. Kind of took the same approach to it as I have to a number of recent pages, in that I cleaned it up and Adam colored it. I try not to do that too much but it's just been what's most practical for awhile, though as a nice bonus to that Blues is starting to squeak ahead a bit further with its buffer than it has been lately. After the chapter is finished that should be the case all the more; we have about two weeks to go on that.

So, I mentioned it over on WaR and BP but might as well bring it up here too. I've taken up writing for another webcomic and my stuff should start going up this weekend. You can check it out at http://second--chances.thecomicseries.com. Granted, if any of you only reads Blues, you probably haven't seen any of my writing. That'll change in the next few pages, though.

The background in the last two panels is confusing, McCay is five blocks away, man Darkskull is really thinking out loud and interesting how he keeps his monolog going as if McCay can't hear him. Also random question, can Andy lick his elbow?

Given how well he can twist his body, probably. ^^ Y'know, it's funny; when I first read that I thought it said "Eyebrow."
