When I'm due to start a new page, what usually happens is I'll find something to do to put it off. Usually I'll take a walk, read Tropes, watch whatever's on That Guy With The Glasses, if Martin's not online open TF2 (It's sorta hard working without him to talk to anyway)... Anything to just put it off.

When I did this I really wasn't feeling up for a new page; think we were just starting a new Blues chapter to boot and felt intimidated, so wound up spending the day putting more and more stuff into this. Had fun with the idea, finished it off, then I sorta half-forgot about it. Martin recently colored it for use in this filler sequence though, so here it is. ^^

I think I was going on a play-through of Secret Of Mana when I did this, and one of the most memorable bits in that game for me was always climbing up the mountains to see Sage Joch. The music always stuck in my mind. When I used to use iTunes playlists for stream-drawings, that was always on the list. ^^ The quest of heroes climbing to prove they have courage and companionship was something I could easily see the heroes doing, and felt pretty awesome to think about.

Yeah, weird proportions aside, enjoyed this. Can kinda tell based on the details like how they're dressed. Grant is wearing a jacket Martin wanted to see him in, but seeing it here I think it would look better on Valerie. Also the chapter we were about to start was the Darkskull one, so this was a chance for me to refine Lore's Fluttershy dress into the version that she wore in the chapter proper. Hard to make out, but Jake is dressed like a samurai. Something I doodled way back, liked the look of, so brought back here.

Yeah, proportions are probably so wonky on this because I was just doodling, but still like it since looking at it reminds me how fun it was to work on. ^^

Yeah, I put this off for a good while before I got around to it, mostly just due to not really having the time. Once we decided to run some filler it gave me a good chance to get around to it.

Not a whole lot to say on it though, think Adam touched on everything. Does bare mentioning that I kind of intended to do a night variant, but not done so yet. Might try that sometime, maybe put it up on the DA page as a bonus.

Yeah. About all I have to say here, but the next chapter, Blues in the Night, starts on Saturday! Be sure to swing by!

This is a really neat picture and I left a comment for you on the last page Adam, and I can't wait to see what the title page for this chapter will be.

Heheh... Is an odd one; inspired greatly by the first comic I ever got.
