Ugh, typed up my comments once and Comic Fury just kind of lost them in an error message. And I'm in a hurry to boot, since it's storming pretty badly at the moment, so let me try and make this quick.

Okay, main thing of note is that, if the cover doesn't say it, this chapter's going to be darker fare than anything Blues has done so far. Be prepared for that, I guess. It's also taking place mostly at night, if the title and cover weren't a solid indication.

Bares mentioning I totally redid the top part of the cover template for this chapter; there's a new, smoother font for the "Blue Star Comics" part, and the star's been totally redone as well. Additionally, I went back and cleaned-up the images used for the team list. If you look back at previous covers compared to this one those look much better now.

Anyway, gotta rush, see everyone for the first page on Wednesday and hope you enjoy!

Heheh.... Will admit, I wasn't expecting the cover of this to turn out as cute as it did, mostly due to Andy and Lore. But yeah, it's funny; Darker Blue was the lighthearted chapter and the one following it is easily the most grim issue of the comic so far.

The cover was again a rare occasion where I think of it myself. ^^ Well, sorta; was mostly inspired by an issue of Justice League... Lemme explain.

Basically, I first got into comic books because of the TV Show Justice League. I watched the show and got absolutely sucked in, and while I had a passing interest in comics that was what made me want to go out and become a full-fledged comic geek. The episode of Justice League that got me hooked on the show was Only A Dream, which had a major influence on McCay's character.

The very first comic I went out and bought after the cartoon struck my interest was the TPB of JLA: Tower Of Babel. The comic reveals that Batman keeps special contingency plans for how to disable the other JLA members in a fight if needed, and the cover features him standing in the middle of their fallen bodies. Since this chapter is kind of a homage to things that got me into comics to begin with, sorta designed this cover to resemble it.

Yeah, hope you folks enjoy.... We've got another surprise for you folks come Wednesday that'll possibly change the way the comic gets made, but we're still experimenting with it at the moment. More on that then.

This is both spooky and downright adorable, you really excel at drawing cuteness Adam. I see Lore has her head snuggled up against Wuvmuffins but where are Moonhoof and Lucky Orihime? and is Jake sleeping in a bathrobe? The fact that Batman keeps tabs and his comrades weaknesses was also revealed in an episode of "Batman: The Brave and The Bold" where the villains got ahold of that information with the help of an evil version of himself from a parallel world where good and evil were switched.

Heheh... Moonhoof is appearing plenty in this chapter, though Lucky Orihime is absent... But yeah, Jake's in a bathrobe; I wasn't entirely sure what he wore as pajamas.

Yeah, they've done the "Batman has weaknesses to the other JLA members" plot a few other places, but Tower Of Babel was the first place to come up with it, and it was pretty shocking when it happened. Though I guess it happened earlier with Superman, since Superman willing gave Batman a chunk of Kryptonite for use in case he ever went rouge, knowing he needed someone he could trust for it.
