Woo, Manga Studio! This page and the next one were colored by Adam; my first with the new coloring method is another couple of pages from now.

So, right from the word go we're back with McCay. As can be seen, he's not doing too well since the last page. If only in how much his hair has greyed over the past three weeks.

Not a whole lot to say on this one then, since I didn't do much with it. There are some cameos here, but Adam can go into that. Hope everyone enjoys and we'll see you for more on Saturday!

Like I said, been wanting to do this chapter for a while and hope you enjoy. One reason I really wanted to switch to Manga Studio for this chapter was that I wanted things to sorta step up to the next level for this one.

Yeah, actually it was sorta good I colored this first page myself, because before you can color in Manga Studio you have to prep the page for it and.... yeah, that's a learning process that's still going on. Compared to every other picture we've done with that program, this page looks a bit wonky, and while part of that is me just not being as good a colorist as Martin, a good chunk is the prep-work. It improves after this though, and the next pages look better. ^^

Anyway, onto the page contents themselves... I was wondering how "long" McCay's situation had been going on for. I settled on three weeks because of a Beatles song. "I'm So Tired" to be exact.

Cameos then.... The couple who slightly resemble Big Mac and Cheerilee from Ponies are in the second panel, apparently things having gone well since the fair in the last chapter. The waitresses are Diane from Cheers (Panel 1), Eiko from Squid Girl(Panel 2), and this one chick who kinda-sorta looks like Pearl Fey from Phoenix Wright. Without the pretzel hairdo.

The bartender is made to look like Dennis from Always Sunny In Philadelphia. If you have any knowledge of that show, you can probably guess how badly these women are being treated, though in Diane's case, I can't say I feel sorry for her. God, she was annoying.

So yeah... Big hopes for this chapter. Even though the artwork is really far down the line in being finished, I only just recently finished scripting things (Barely ahead on scripts, unlike Martin). Hope you folks enjoy this one. ^^

For those wondering, I wouldn't say BP is really all that far ahead, like ten pages and I need to do more, but WaR's about twice that. Then there's Second Chances which I'm almost a year ahead of schedule on weirdly enough. Not really sure how that happened.

This page certainly proves how quickly both mental and physical deteriorates when one is suffering from sleep deprivation, it's a wonder how McCay was able to get out of bed and make to the café at all with his eyesight and everything else in such bad shape.

Heheh... Actually, sleep deprivation can have surprisingly odd effects. The longest time spent awake was 11 days, and the person who set the record would often play basketball against the professor who was studying him. Even up until the last day, the professor was never able to beat him. Granted, judgement and response time are impaired, hence why a sleep deprived driver is actually worse than someone who's drunk, but we'll see details about that as we go on. ^^

Incidentally, have you been reading Second Chances since Martin took over? Been meaning to ask.

No I haven't, I checked it out but the story is a little too creepy for me.
