I really like Grant's line in this since it brings attention to something I've been ignoring until now; the Blues kids rarely know what's going on with their villains. We the reader saw McCay's fall from grace and descent into insanity, but the kids have no idea who this guy is, where he came from, or why he's doing this. Really, that probably makes it scarier for them; some unexplained force is destroying the minds of thousands of people for no clear reason. While I think this fight reached a logical conclusion, Grant doesn't know who McCay is, so to him this looks like a cop-out.

It sorta reminds me of the Animal Man comic, where there would often be stories that were only vaguely connected with the titular character. He'd wander in at the tail end and unlike the reader, was left in the dark for why things result in the confusing, tragic end that they do. Until the end of the series where he finds his life is being by Grant Morrison. Who is insane.

I do plan on fixing that in the future and giving the kids a more direct link to some of their future villains. Many of the best comic villains are somehow linked to the heroes they face, either being created by them, some old rival/friend, or just some connection on some other level. The next really major villain for the series will form a connection with the kids, as we'll see. ^^

But yeah.... Again, not much to say as the page largely speaks for itself. I think McCay's speech here is rather cheesy, but under certain circumstances, cheesiness works and I think this might be one of them.

Again, McCay's expression in the second panel took some doing because of the non-standard design of his face, but totally worth it. ^^

So yeah, chapter's got two more pages, and next one'll largely be dealing with the fall-out that's been building up.

Not sure how much I have to say on this one, but pretty happy with it. Think it was the easiest page in this sequence to color, just since everyone was kind of grouped together and there weren't many one-off colors to be found in it.

As Adam said, we have two more pages after this in the chapter. We'll be getting our required Jenny hug in then, but also tying up some loose ends... which is also kind of what the entire next chapter is about.

Though before that next chapter, we'll have a quick filler page. Another one that I wrote, at that. So, everyone be sure to stick around for the finish to the chapter, then keep coming by for that and the chapter after it.

I wonder if McCay is going to check himself into the hospital like Aurora did, but hey maybe if the kids found a way to see her there they could see him again too and hear his story.

I really do want to see those two meet up at some point, but McCay isn't going to a hospital. ^^
