Woo, now we hear back from Alex! Funny thing, I had to write this twice - the first time I did it, neither of us saved it (apparently), so I wound up having to rewrite it. First time I wrote it, it was as kind of a set up for how to handle the message Grant sent to him in the first place, but this second time I didn't write basically until after this page had been drawn. For what it's worth, what Alex is talking about does tie back into what's going on in Wright as Rayne.

Outside of that, not sure how much I have to comment on. That is a big focus of the page and all, plus that was where a lot of my involvement on it went. Still, I am pretty happy with this one on the whole.

Though it would be great if we could do more between Alex and Grant at some point. Eh, maybe someday.

Well, it's a bit hard to put together a crossover when they live in separate states.

But yeah, with a lot of these e-mails we try and do a duel-nature thing that ties into both what's going on with WaR and Blues. I think I had someone else in mind for the WaR side of the equation when I wrote Grant's letter, though that's actually not going to be happening in the comic for a long while.

It's weird, there's a lot of the dog-muzzle thing in side-profile here. I'd switched drawing it like that a while ago to a more normal look. In this case it doesn't really bug me seeing it like this, I actually still sorta like it, but I know it bugs a few of my readers and think the more standard look will probably look better to most people. It's just since I made the switch it looks pretty distracting. I think the new style's already being used in BP and WaR, and it'll start popping up in Blues shortly after the start of the next chapter.

It's kinda just one of the many little improvements that have been made to the line-art since the MS switch, which I'm pleased to say are working nicely. I keep expecting to buckle or bungle them like a stressed-out juggler but I appear to be keeping up.

Which is good; the new semester started yesterday. I've noticed that with every term I seem to keep getting more stressed out. I've tried to select some courses that will be easier on me and have a lighter course-load in general than previously, so hopefully things will be better. Point is, it's nice that I've still got the comics, Martin, and all of you to keep me laid back.

Is Alex talking about someone who hasn't appeared yet?
