When I thought "Snow Chapter" for the comic, this is instantly what I wanted.

Seriously. Snowball fight where everyone involved as super-powers. I'm pretty sure I could've just shown THIS through the rest of the chapter and I would've been totally happy. Honestly, really surprised this turned out to be as short as it did. If you're not into this, you won't have to wait long before the focus goes back to Martina. It's kinda weird how the cover of the chapter looked so disturbing an ominous with snow and being in the palm of her hand when the big centerpiece is "Weeheheheee! Snowball fight! Snow's so much fun!"

Again, Martina shows up in a chapter and gets sidelined because I want to explore what the kids are doing more. First it was making their costumes, now it's a friggin' snowball fight. Still, we DO find out a bit about her motives at least.

Taktaq I didn't have in mind until literally when I did the script for this chapter. I had to look through the extras so far and pick good ones or ones I particularly liked for the opposing team. Basing her off Korra I thought would be a cute gag but she got a lot of dialog here as I wrote it (other kids like the ones who look like Pit or Takeru are kinda background gags that aren't so major), so really wish I hadn't been so blatant about it. Doubt she'll dress like this in other chapters, though.

The thing on Heather is mostly setting up a gag that starts in full next page but actually had the idea sitting around regardless. Think for her first few weeks at the center Stickset forced her to wear it in case her head ignited and she fought fire to something.

Thanks to a forum I frequent, I can't read, "Deal with it," without my mind immediately going to several other things that make me laugh. Will spare going into detail though, one part of it isn't exactly PG and that's one aim with Blues.

For what it's worth I just cannot seem to get a color for the sky that I am happy with. It always either looks too faded and white or like it's too vibrant of a blue. Though I have no idea why it's blue in that one panel anyway, the sky's grey for the rest of the chapter due to the clouds. Mistake on my part I guess.

Does bare mentioning when coloring Taktaq I did start out making her colors a bit more distinct, mostly through having darker skin. But I decided it didn't really fit and tweaked it before I sent Adam the finished copy. I imagine if nothing else to help distinguish her a bit you're probably not going to see her wearing blue in future appearances, or at least not that shade of it. I do like trying to move away from whatever inspired something pretty quickly, put a more unique spin on it.

It is kind of weird how this chapter is almost all action but has two very distinct set-pieces with it with different tones. It's an interesting approach, might need to try something of that sort in one of my comics sometime. Not going to force the issue, mind you. Think that's all I've got, but be sure to keep reading!

This makes me think of a snowball fight I saw in X-Man one time, once everybody started using their powers they melted all the snow and then Wolverine said "Well there goes our winter paradise" this is going to be funny.

Heh... Didn't know that example. Couldn't Bobby or Storm just make more? THe extreme heat of Texas makes it too hard for anyone with similar powers at the Blues center, but...

Enter Snowflake and his posse. Can't wait to see how this ends up.

Yes older kids vs. wronger kids, I'm thinking the older kids need a lesson in humility?

Eh, maybe. ^^ Not really sure how big the difference is; that devil-kid seems fairly young compared to the others, and Heather is one of the oldest kids in the Center along with Val.

I just realized I spelt younger wrong, and I guess I should amend it to team and friends vs. other kids/
