.... Oh, yeah. That. I guess we just had to get back to the main plot eventually....

On the plus side, fanservice!

Okay, granted, there was a point to this; I needed to explain and show that Martina and her followers were immune to the cold weather and a pool party was a natural idea for it. It adds to the mystique of what she's doing quite nicely, wouldn't you say?

I do enjoy fanservicey shots like this as long as they're not needlessly overused, and think this is okay. Since the comic is PG, I try not to over-indulge in this kind of thing, which is hard enough already given most of the main characters are 12 and under.

But I enjoyed doing this for other reasons; I'm trying to improve how I draw females and doing one of a person in a bikini was an oddly thoughtful learning experience. Wanna do it again, kinda. I'll probably do it again when Shinobu shows up. ^^

Granted, it's fanservice in our art style, so it's not really likely to do much for anyone on an attraction level anyway. We're not exactly going for the most realistic look ever or anything with it.

It'll be a few pages before we actually get Martina and the kids interacting, but not as long as you might expect given how apart from each other they are right now. Still, it won't be, like, the next page or something when we suddenly have the superheroics break out.

Not sure how much else I have to say on this one. This page is actually kind of weird to look back on in that Martina puts her cloak on over her bikini, then by the next time we see her without the cloak she's dressed underneath. Granted, the way it's structured it's pretty clear some time passes between this page and when we next actually see her, but it's still a little odd.

Seeing Martina in a bikini strikes me as really weird, and she is talking about the blue-bloods isn't she?

Heh. Actually, no. ^^ You'll have to see.

More like fan disservice. What is Martina, 40?

Ouch. She's uh... Meant to be in her twenties. I guess I should look into improving how I draw the ladies.

I was kidding. Just wanted to take a stab at insulting the Big Bads.

Eheh... Gotcha. ^^ Sorry, I'm a bit touchy on my crummy artwork.
