Yep, the big thing bringing together heroes across two comics is one of them wants a conversation with the others.

Heh. Naturally there's of course going to be more to it than that, but first of all we'll be seeing the groups meet up out of costume just to chat. That's just a couple of pages off, one more thing to cover with it first.

I like to think Grant must be really obsessive with following superhero stuff, since only the bank robbery Starchild foiled in her debut is really notable enough for it to have gotten any major coverage. Other stuff, like the Rage and Bullet Time fights (and some offscreen adventures), might've gotten some attention but nothing huge, and I picture Starchild being pretty much a total unknown in the superhero world.

The story that Starchild is Alex's protege is something first really being presented here I believe, but it's a lie that we'll be seeing Alex use a lot as things go along. I think it'll first come up again in chapter thirteen of WaR.

Then there's that tease on what Lenore's powers are. We'll probably be keeping you all on your toes for awhile on that one, but if anyone has any guesses, feel free to let us hear them!

Yeah, the conversation thing is lame. We just do the Marvel thing and have every single superhero improbably live in the same city, continuously pass each other on the street, and whenever they're in arms reach of each other, start punching. Much easier.

I personally think there's some sight somewhere that catalogs the appearances of every super-hero in the country, complete with local news footage and Newspaper scans. I dunno, seems like it'd exist. Would make sense.

Really like the hair-detailing here. This is kinda the point where it really starts to blossom, being subtle but giving a lot of depth. Martin's outlined the area we need to work on next, and am looking into it myself. Who's to say when it'll come up, but we're really trying to push forward. ^^

Weird to think this is the first time the "protege" excuse has come up, since it's been on paper since day one for WaR. Either way, yeah, there's the set up. Alex'll be showing up soon. ^^

Heh. Funny part is I included a new teacher in this page but he wound up covered by speech balloons. Annoyed at how Stickset, Tickle and Su are the only faculty members we've seen so tried to brainstorm more. Will likely see the new guy in a later chapter.

Funny how Spencer gets brought up because Sarabeth is having a conversation with his grandmother in the current WaR chapter. First Val and now Andy, is it that hard to believe Grant and Alex have been emailing each other.

Jake and Spencer still have a fair amount of bitterness between 'em. ^^ But yeah, it's hard to buy.
