Heheh... Yeah, had been waiting to see this. ^^ Grant and Alex teaming up for a page like this had been something I'd been wanting to try since the premise for the chapter was agreed on.

Like I said, the owl thing was mostly because I'd just read Batman: Court of Owls when preparing to do the fight sequence, and thought that since larger owls will prey on songbirds it'd be a cool way to showcase it. Plus since wringing birds' necks is a thing and Alex seems to be really good at strangling people into unconsciousness, it made sense to have him take him out like that. Just a cool way to show the two teaming up.

Martin asked me to have Alex get a cut over his eyebrow during the fight, so hence the owl doing that with its talons. Hope you folks enjoy. ^^ Probably one of my favorite pages for the fight sequence.

Though yes, that last line does make me wanna make an Iron Man 2 gag. There's a reason Grant doesn't use the scream that much in every fight.

That cut will play into WaR's next chapter, so keep it in mind. Though, y'know, you'll be able to see it the whole time anyway so might be kind of hard to forget.

But yeah, not the first time Alex has strangled someone, and it probably won't be the last. Just sort of a thing with him I guess, and if you're not familiar with the character from WaR then it kind of bares mentioning that he does not fight fairly.

Not sure what else I've got here, but I hope everyone enjoys and we'll see you for more on Saturday.

Hopefully Songbirds throat will get stronger and tougher as he grows older, wonder how Alex is going to explain how he got that cut to Dorothy's mom and friends.

Yeah, I guess now that Alex's a girl, he can't use the "I cut myself shaving excuse." Or he could, but it'd be really weird.
