Is this a Trope? Using a newcomer to examine subjects that the group as a whole wouldn't discuss without one around? It feels like that should be a trope.

Anyway, yeah, when I started out making this series, I didn't want to do the whole "Hate and fear" thing like in X-Men, because when applied to children it simply doesn't make as much sense. I think there is a sense of resentment though; kids can be pretty mean-spirited and selfish in this way, and so can their parents who might do little to stop them. That's part of why the Center was founded.

I dunno, I didn't want to make it a major theme in the comic or anything, but it'd be stupid to think it wasn't there. I wanted to discuss it a little bit here. Heather mentioned earlier she couldn't actually attend school due to her powers, I imagine someone with such a visually-striking ability as Guy's would have problems, Val's abilities have obviously caused her a good deal of grief...

Jenny doesn't seem as bothered by it, but that could mean a number of different things, so we'd have to look into that in the future. Given the thing with Jenny's legs being so long and muscular, I doubt she was able to hide her powers the way Xandy can.

.... Wait, did we mention how she does that in the comic proper? It was in this side-story on the DA page... Crap... Okay, basically, Melissa puts a light amount of make-up on her face in the morning to hide it when she blushes. She's pretty girly so she doesn't play any physical contact games that might result in bleeding and thus all she has to do is not use her powers.

Ugh, all that wood stuff. Like I've said, since this I've gotten a hang on how to do wood detailing properly. In both rushed and more detailed formats, the detailed one looks really good but takes too long so you'll just be seeing the rushed variation. That'll be making its debut in the next WaR page.

Anyway, yeah, I don't know what all I have to say on this one, I think Adam pretty well handled it. I should touch on the power thing in WaR sometime, it seems like issues with that would probably more easily arise there given it's dealing with adults and all. Then again thus far we haven't really seen anyone with powers that really make them immediately stand out like someone like Guy or Heather does, and we've mostly seen it being used by criminals who probably aren't opposed to being surrounded by people who are dangerous. Well, I guess Ellen, I could see her having issues with that.

But that's all off the topic of Blues, so I'll just settle for saying I do like any time we get the chance to explore some of Valerie's various hang-ups. Something that's been touched on a fair bit but we haven't really fully probed to date I don't think.

Also, look at the detailing on the clothes! Look! Shirts have collars now and everything!

Well Xandy that's sadly not always true since not all of the kid's here are lucky enough to have kind, caring, and understanding parents, poor Alex by the end of this chapter he's most likely going to feel like a piece of his heart has been ripped out.

Heh. Now I'm curious what your thoughts'll be on a part coming up. Two parts, rather.
