Yeah, this has been something I've wanted to get into for a while. Both the scene, which I've been excited to do since the outline, and the topic which I've been hinting at through the chapter.

I feel weird even discussing this given Saturday's page continues the topic but lemme try and stick with what's in this one... Expressions were hard to do. One of the few things that gets consistent praise in my art is expression work and I tried to put a lot of effort into them here to make sure things were getting conveyed properly between the two.

Also, in the outline, Alex was driving Grant back to the center in his car rather than cramming all the kids into Jake's, and the conversation was going to take place there. This way was more organic to the story, and I'd like to say that's why I changed it, but really it was because I really suck at drawing the interior of cars.

More to say buuuut... Nnng... Will have to leave it for Saturday when we hear Alex's reply. That's probably my favorite page of the chapter just due to it actually covering a lot of stuff at once.

Yeah, I've personally got like nothing to say on this one offhand. Am happy with how this sequence came out but if I'm being honest I like the one a few pages from now much more and was more eager to get to it.

I do definitely like getting to touch on Grant's issues a bit, though. We've played around with stuff involving his parents before but we've never quite gone into any real detail on it. That's still not really going to be going on but we'll at least be getting a bit of a closer look at his feelings on the subject, so there's that.

Actually, the next WaR chapter does touch on the Cathy thing a little bit more, gives a little more detail on that. Guess it's good timing to go ahead and bring it up now.

Do wonder what Andy and Lore are talking about in the last panel there. Probably pretty interesting whatever it is.
