Wound up exporting this one and adding the text myself since Adam hasn't been on yet this evening and hadn't handled it in advance. Thus no concrete effect, not entirely clear on adding that - might reupload it later with that in place.

Anyway, woo, Justice League! Yeah, Adam had a lot of ideas on what the theme for this year should be, and the plan for most of the time before it was Star Wars. instead though he opted to go with this set.

All some pretty fun ones I think, had fun working on it. Not sure what all I've got to say on it specifically though, but this marks the public debut of the redesigns of the Blues group. Yay? Nay? The differences are more visible without the night effect but still think some of it shows pretty well.

Probably for the better we do introduce it at night, actually. Most of the next chapter is in the dark.

Yeah, this set was really, REALLY last minute. Like, I decided on Justice League basically right before I started drawing the picture. I switched out from Star Wars since I don't think 2014 is good timing on that. Other options considered were the Avengers and Pokemon. Heck, if anyone has a theme in mind for future ones, I've got a list sitting and would be happy to add more to 'em.

But yeah, thing with the re-designs is they're hard to make out here between the bags and lighting, so still gonna showcase 'em in full once the chapter is over and go into detail on each change. Will discuss more then. Funnily enough, Jake is the one who got revamped the most but you can't see it here due to him lurking there in the darkness.

Yeah, speaking of that, had some back-and-forth on who to cast Lore, Andy, and Jake as. I was thinking on making Andy Batman, but Jake was just more fitting to the role, plus I could draw him lurking in the shadows with his head down, so went with that. I see Andy as being a Robin Hood fan, so tried Green Arrow. I didn't really wanna make anyone Diana since she just seems like a weird fit (her personality is actually sorta poorly defined compared to other heroes, at least in my opinion) but figured "She can kick butt like nobody's business, give her to Lore."

My only regret is making Nicky Plastic Man. I didn't realize it until I'd draw it how obscure a hero he was, so was really tempted to make him Captain Marvel instead. Love Captain Marvel. Grant, Valerie, and Jenny were all pretty easy and satisfying.

Tried Jake with a mask, by the way, but you couldn't tell it was him. Between the cape, the posture, the gauntlet, and the darkness-lurking, figured that was enough. ^^

Jake is really hard to spot but this is still an amazing picture.

Was kinda nervous about that, but figured Jake being hard to see in the darkness was just getting in character.
