I could've sworn I backed up and did the detailing on this one at some point, but looking again... Screw it, this page is just going without it then.

So, yeah, this page suuuuucked to do, as did the next one. Both of them pretty much saw me do a bulk of the coloring after a very long wait then pass the buck to Adam to finish. And it took awhile for him to draw in the first place. The main reason for it is those trays - trays are evil, diabolical things.

At least the next page does have one big thing going for it that should make it pretty memorable. This one, though I'm largely happy with how it came out, was just a chore to get through.

Though I have the feeling the BP page Adam finished the other day's probably going to be worse. I should get to that.

Anyway, yeah. Hope everybody enjoys - we're very nearly done with the chapter now, should wrap up in a couple of weeks.

Yeah, for me the BP page was maybe even worse..... ^^ It helped me at least that this page was made up of regulars to the comic which are always easier to draw, while the page in question was almost entirely of people I'd never done before. Save for two who I've only drawn once. Or more than once, depending on how you look at it. It's complicated.

The trays of food WERE a nightmare to draw, though. They were really tedious and irritating to get through. And honestly I don't even think they came out looking that great. Ugh. What they were eating in the diner came out better.

Do like a few of the minor touches, at least, like Jenny having more food than anyone else, Andy's pudding cup already being open impling he ate that first, Heather's sandwich being on toast... Think that's it but like that stuff. The dialog and all was fun too, I feel like it's actually sorta overshadowed by the art but got a lot of good back-and-forth between the kids here. Also I just think Jenny offering to feed Nicky with his burned hands in the last panel is really adorable. ^^

Incidentally, this is also a major reason why I never draw classroom scenes. I hate, hate drawing desks, and a classroom scene would have a similar head count to this cafeteria one.

Also, if you've been paying attention to the extras, the girl the Pit-based kid is talking to is clearly based on Lucina. I think this was drawn either right before or right after Smash Brothers dropped for the 3DS and we were really hyped so was too happy to throw her in. Martin even gave her a touch with her eye. I can't wait to put an excuse of having her family come to visit since they'll likely all be based on Robin, Chrom, and a baby Morgan. ^^

This is an amazing page, and how about naming Lucina-girl Lucy.
