Was hoping Adam would be on hand to set this one up, but what can ya do?

So yeah, Lenore has healing powers! And they're freaky looking! Yeah, Lenore's the healer that was spoken of a little earlier, which was actually foreshadowed awhile back, and we even said in the comments on that page that it would one day wound up being linked back to -

http://bluebloodheroes.thecomicseries.com/comics/282

Notice the semicolon in the first panel implying that, "We're going to spend the day together," and, "He will be better soon," are related sentiments. Yeah, we've had this in mind for a long while, and I do think we've got a suitably freaky way to show it off.

Also, looking again, the previous page was the one I went back and detailed but I guess I never sent it to Adam to be re-exported. I'll be fixing that myself momentarily, but for this one... Yeah, guess just going without. I meant to do this one but never got around to it. I'd do it now - well, when Adam gets on, I don't have the fully colored version of this page - but lately when I work with the tablet too long it's been making my neck hurt so there's not much need to for a page that's pretty well behind where we're presently at.

Speaking of, very nearly done with the chapter. The next one... I don't think has a name yet - Adam tends to come up with the names and covers after the chapter's started while I do it first, though there have been times I've backed up and changed the idea for the cover or the chapter title at the last minute (the next WaR cover, for one), but it'll have a bit of filler before it.

Please let the tentacles distract you from those tables in the first panel appear to be directly touching.

Heh... I was really kinda terrified you could would pick this up. ^^ I tease her power, then later in the chapter I tease the fact that the school has a healer... I was sure I was showing my hand with that.

Yeah, when I started to try and make Lenore a bigger character, I wasn't sure what to do on powers. Eventually it seemed right to give her something that could prove useful, and if she was a healer I'd have an easy back-door in case I accidentally went to far and had someone wind up badly hurt mid-comic. Plus if the healing ability looked really twisted and sick, then it would add a lot to Lenore's joke of looking disturbing while actually being sweet.

So yeah, I tried to design it to look like something out of a Creepypasta. .... There's no twist, by the way. Doing it doesn't make you slowly evil or shorten Lenore's lifespan, or siphon off a portion of your soul to hasten the escape of the Great Old Ones, it just looks creepy. Do hope you guys enjoy it. ^^

Odd thing, wasn't really planning on showing this off now (stuff kinda happens in the comic without my intending it, hence why I needed an insurance policy like Lenore in the first place), but Martin pointed out this was just the appropriate time for it to be seen. I did like the fact that I was playing my cards close to the chest with her and was gonna tease and mess around with you guys some more but... Yeah, don't really know when the next time it would be seen would be.

Yeah, always do appreciate Martin's detail work, but these few pages would drain that on anyone. The upcoming BP page we've been whining about had a similar problem with both that and the shading but left us with an artsy way to get out of it. Like he said, there aren't that many more pages left to this chapter. Just... Hang on.... Huh. 3. Less than I thought.

Okay that is the most disturbing kind of healing I've ever seen, and Nicky doesn't seem to know what to make of it.
