Merry Christmas and happy holidays!

This one's pretty hot off the presses, just got it drawn and colored today while the WaR one's been finished a few days and we did the BP one I think yesterday. Just random trivia for ya I guess - speaking of, don't forget to check out the fillers for those two as well! They both have some stuff going on that might especially appeal to Blues fans.

So yeah, this one went through a few different ideas on how to execute it and ultimately I pitched trying this one and Adam rolled with it. Pretty happy with it.

Not sure how much I have to say though. Hope everybody enjoys however and we'll see you on Saturday for more story!

Seeing Jake's redesign in a day setting for the first time, might tone down the lined face. Is supposed to look sorta tired and like he's had a hard life, but this is a bit overboard. Does certainly make sense he'd look nice and annoyed here, at least.

Yeah, had a few different ideas for what to do for the comic, since neither me or Martin just wanted to do another Group Shot, but the others were going to be too time-consuming and since this was the last of the three fillers done we were kinda getting down to the wire. I had the basic, vague idea on something with Jake buying gifts for the kids but wasn't sure how to frame it until Martin came up with this.

As such, it's the only one of the three to involve dialog, but think that's what carries it. ^^ I kinda had to slam Cadence in the comic since.... Yeah, that's still the main thing I think of when I see her design. "Wow, she looks like a toy." And yet I hear she was one of the first characters designed by Faust or something. Weird.

"Paper Heroes," by the way, is the comic book store I frequent here in my hometown. If you're ever in Lake Charles and are a big enough comic geek, check it out.

Likewise, Play N Trade was a video game store that used to have a location in the mall. I really loved the place (way more than Gamestop) but they shut down for some reason or another. .... Actually, on Googling it, it's apparently a big chain, and has locations in three other cities in this State; New Orleans, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette. No Shreveport? Weird.

Aww Jake is such a sweetheart to be buying presents for the kids despite not wanting to be seen doing it( I get the feeling the reason he has his hood up is more out of embarrassment than anything else) and guys it's "stores" not "stories".

Eheh... Noted and fixed. ^^ Appreciate it; probably good a I checked the comments just before submitting this to DA. But yeah, really liked Jake's demeanor here. Think he just has it delivered right to their houses over the break than handing anything over personally.
