If you have your brightness turned up on the monitor, don't look too close at the second panel. Martin did that. Because he's a horrible, horrible person.

Ugh... Jesus, I'm gonna die once this goes up, I know it... ugh... but yeah, uhh... Sadly Nicky doesn't get much in the way of improvements tonight. ^^ We'll discuss that in the future.

There's... some subtext to this page that's either become more relevant or less relevant now that I'm out of school. This chapter marked the start of the re-designs for the characters and overall yet another step in trying to systematically improve the artwork. Figuring out the re-designs, especially at first, required me and Martin to find the free time to sit down, set up a private livestream, and play with characters until we found a unique look. It kinda meant a lot to us, getting to talk directly to one another, work on this little passion that we've shared in a more united fashion, and just try to better ourselves and the product.

There was always that worry of how much time I could spend on the comic since I've had full-time school (and hopefully soon will have a full-time job), but at the same time, it's hard to stop. After that first session of trying to hammer out a re-design, me and Martin were so eager to do it again.

Likewise, I don't learn that well from being yelled at Drill-Sergeant-style, though I do strive to please people if they seem unable to be satisfied. I think Jake is teaching the kids that way, only dishing out rather sparse praise to try and push them and the rest of the time looking disinterested, but I'm not sure if he's doing it knowingly or not. I can think of at least one reader who would've liked to have seen him get all Drill Sergeant on the kids, as he says, it's not their style.

Okay, so turns out Adam beat me to posting this one. I really should've checked on that before setting up my own version of it.

First off, set up a Patreon page. I really don't expect it to actually draw anybody but hey, if any of you people for some bizarre reason think highly enough of us amateurs to throw money at us, it'd mean the world to us and help a lot in continuing to make the comics bigger and better.

And yeah, that is one thing that's been pretty interesting about this chapter, the subtext of sorts to the constant effort to improve but needing to find the time for it. Sort of a bittersweet feeling sometimes but all in all I love doing this and hope we can continue to do so for a long, long time to come.

Also, I call bull on them being in school, we've never seen that.

Oh, and go ahead and look at the second panel too long. I removed what Adam was talking about when I fixed some typos.

In the fourth panel it says 'when they next time' shouldn't it be 'when the next time' can't wait to see what happens when the kids and Meyers cross paths.

Heh, already been fixed now but thanks for the heads-up.

You're gonna have to put them in a classroom setting at some point, so that they can do the classic "mass potty break" excuse.

Yeah, I think Miss Tickle's stupid enough to fall for that. ^^

shouldn't lore be WAY dirtier from face planing over and over?

Yeah, occurred to me, but didn't want to have to keep it up panel after panel. Besides, it'd ruin her dress.
