.... Jeez, everything ABOUT this page is last minute.

Originally I wasn't even sure if I wanted to do a Fontainebleu page for this bit between chapters. The next page that was written up turned out (by total coincidence) to sync up perfectly with what was going to be the next planned chapter. But with the idea to make a spur-of-the-moment new chapter to introduce us to Marvelous Man in full, that connection was lost. So at the last minute, I wrote up an entirely new script so I could save that page for next time.

Then tonight, then discussing which of the filler was going up, this or a little diddy Abe drew up for us, I discovered I didn't actually have the latter saved so this is all we got. And THEN just a few minutes ago, in spite of the page having been done for weeks I suddenly noticed there were typos in the dialog and in particular we were missing the "From the diary..." box. So had to fix that just before setting it to go up.

Really, given the next chapter is probably the worst of the Blues chapters thus far (Not sure on the comics overall), should've taken that as a clue. I dunno, we're nearly done with it on the production side, and while I'm usually eager for the next chapter to start, think this is the only time I've wanted the one I'm currently on to just end already. Still, did try and put some interesting bits into this one, so hope you'll enjoy. It's just that even for a shorter-than-normal chapter it turns out there wasn't as much material as I'd hoped.

Still, I was sorta glad to do this since I'm nearly done scripting the Fontainebleu pages and I wanted a bit of a chance to show off his personality. See him as someone who's not really bad, but has a lot of Ethnocentric patriotism and classism that probably wasn't too out of place at the time. Plus did try and work it into the next page.

I dunno, I'd say all three comics have had worse chapters than the next one is. Think the weakest to date in any of them is probably 98.9: The Ride just due to being way too long and having a lot of artistic hiccups. After that... I dunno. For Blues I think I might say Heroes Wear Blue. Though next chapter is indeed pretty wonky in its pacing, fair warning to everyone.

I never have much of anything to say on these pages, seeing as I'm not really involved with them outside of reading the scripts in advance, offering occasional suggestions, and knowing what it's all leading to.

So yeah, this one isn't really any different on that front. Do always like how these come out though, they're a nice little change of pace and feel really unique compared to the rest of the comics.

If anyone missed either one, we posted a new Webcomicast and BP's hit 300 pages, why not give both of those a look?

This guy makes it sound as if he's all alone in the world and can't trust anyone but himself, this is intriguing.
