So yeah. Every page gets progressively worse. That seems to be the basic theme of this climax.

I honestly feel sorta weird for you guys.... I really genuinely like the comic fans, hope you're not too bothered by the comic going to a dark place. I kinda knew from the beginning this chapter was gonna be bleak, but hope you guys are enjoying. This chapter DOES have a point moving forward that I think needed to be addressed, just stick with us.

Is also becoming clear that the next chapter's gonna need to be lighter and happier to offset this, but I'm getting ahead of myself. This page was a huge pain to draw since Chiko-tan being blown in half had to be drawn twice. Did like getting to use Stranger (who I think is likely the last zombie standing) in an important role given he was actually set-up.

Is really bugging me how repetitive Salix's dialog is. I like the character's central idea, it's just I don't think I'm a good enough writer to make him work. It's hard when he doesn't regard our heroes very well and is basically coasting through this fight.

So, we have someone (albeit a robot) cut in half, a kid being slashed across the chest, a zombie being decapitated, and whatever else. For kids!

Yeah, not sure what I really have to say on this one offhand, think Adam pretty well covered it. This page was pretty complex to do all around, from some art issues to some coloring ones to just being busy in general. Hopefully everone enjoys though.

Also, if you missed it we've put up the year six preview for Wright as Rayne.

I've been reading this comic for a while. And admittedly, I think going into dark horrible places is a great aspect of writing in general. You guys shouldn't feel weird about it. It means the story is maturing, and the idea is getting more and more interesting. A comic like this shouldn't be just rainbows and happy. Especially when the stigma of Blue Bloods is a major issue for most of public opinion. People are afraid of superpowers, and they rightly should be.

Seeing this comic mature, is just a sign you guys are getting better. Keep it up, go for what makes sense, and don't sugar coat it just because it's about a bunch of little kids. You rarely see comics these days with engaging, interesting and /young/ protagonists. Most people shoot for the teenage angst, or the adult angst. Kids can tell dark stories too, their shining light, their innocence, watching it slowly crumble into dust as the story grows more and more dark, is the greatest thing you can possibly achieve with this kind of idea.

Keep it up, guys, please.
