Really enjoyed this particular page. ^^ The idea of the kids playing around with elements of their costumes before putting on the whole thing was such a cute, little-kid thing to do.

Honestly, this is probably a big part of why we didn't wind up showing the new costumes during the one-month break. I was all set to, but we liked the idea of the kids showing off their costumes in pieces so much that we thought it'd be a neat way of teasing you guys with it. The costumes will be shown off in full on Wednesday.

That whole talk about giving them "a Batcave or something" was just something me and Martin have wondered about. It would help a lot if they had something like that, but with the premise and plot of the comic it'd be really hard to give them one. Six kids and a janitor as your heroes means you have to work with a limited amount of resources.

Also, this addresses a weird nitpick I always had with the first time you saw the kids in costume; how DID they change clothes in front of each other? That always bugged me, so took a moment to address it.

Was genuinely really split on having Grant keep that scar.... Not because of the Stickset-examination thing or having to think of a way for him to explain it, but more because that's just way too perfect of a scar. It's like exactly the kind of scar you'd give a hero in lazy design. Like the kind of scar that'd be included in a standard Create-A-Character set, right behind "scar over eye."

Heh. Kind of funny, for all Adam had to say I'm not really sure how much I've got here.

Am pretty happy with the page, though. Do kind of like the tease of showing bits and pieces of the costumes early before we actually get them in full in the next page. Probably isn't too hard to see where we at least kept some aspects of the costumes we showed off previously, but each one's different from what was shown before in various ways and to varying degrees, as you'll see on Wednesday.

Valerie's shirt is based off something in particular, but forget exactly what it was. Remember having to have Adam send me a reference on it.

That is a lot to fit in that tiny box.

How is Grant going to explain how he got that scar(wonder what Alex will think of it), the next page is going to be so jarring.

Treehouse. Give them a treehouse, or a tree fort, or something along those lines. Maybe an old junkyard base.

Hell, if they have Spencer's ear, maybe ask him to build them one, or something.

That's what I can say for a base of operations.

Heh... Kinda the problem is that a Treehouse wouldn't exactly be hidden, and they'd still have to worry about other kids in the center stumbling onto the spot where they keep their hero-gear. That's the problem with our heroes living in a boarding school; only a limited amount of privacy can be expected and you can't exactly build new rooms of any kind...

I guess they could find a crawlspace or something. .... Oh, my God, I'm giving my heroes the tactics and ideas of Walter White.
