Shouldn't have waited this long into the day to upload this, by now pretty tired and kind of blanking on much of note to really say on this page.

Really not intentional that this page has as much green as it does, and actually kind of tried to work against it at a point, but there's kind of a specific reason for it that I'll let Adam go into. Part of it's due to some miscommunication on one of the extras, though.

Oh, another thing, you can now see what we were talking about with the modifying the cover thing - originally saw Quartz here in costume on the cover, but it was decided to save the first proper look at him wearing it for when it shows up in this page. What's the deal with how his costume seemingly came out of nowhere? Stay tuned.

Gaaaah, I wake up late AND I gotta wait on my brother for my comments.

But yeah, from the way the costume looks, in particular the way it appears on Dr. Quartz's body, the source of the parody might be becoming clear by now. ^^

I got this idea just taking a walk. I really liked that "How do you get a super-hero's attention" bit in the last page, since I thought it was weirdly ominous, with an implied "Dun, dun dunnnn." But then I realized "Wait, what about a bag-signal?" a few days after I wrote that script, hence the joke here.

The extras in this comic are almost all Pokemon. ... Not sure what led me to do that, but there ya are. In the first panel is the Pit-Boy's mom, who's naturally Palutena, sitting across from Hades. In the booth behind her are Darkrai and a Shiny Cresselia (I've been grinding to try and get a Shiny of her for friggin' weeks now but nothing yet; hence why she looks kinda shy).

In the panel below there's a Blastoise on lunchbreak, at the bar are a Serperior and Chikorita, while the diner is apparently owned by a Chesnaught. Originally I meant to draw the Chikorita as a Torchic, hence the confusion over the coloring and the abundance of green.

Martin tweaked the Chesnaught-man's face quite a bit so he looked more distinct. Went a long way. ^^ Also, the name of the diner is "The Pallet Place" as you can partially see on the window. ^^

Prototype, Greed from FMA, or Venom, are the first things that come to mind.

But that's just based on the powers, not him as a whole.

Huh. Greed hadn't occurred to me, but yeah. I can sorta see it.

But Crescent Isle is the hardest Mirage Spot to find, do you really want a shiny Cresselia that badly, this is not going to end well.

Ugggghhh... Yeah, I had to check every day for months until Crescent Isle showed up, and once it did I had to land on it, save the game right in front of the hole, and have been soft-resetting for weeks. Since I'm saved on it I'm fine, but if I ever leave it'll disappear again, so there's literally nothing I can do until a Shiny one pops out. But.... Her shiny's just so cool!
