Interesting twist on things tonight in that readers will likely be seeing this last bit of filler before Adam does.

Yeah, this is veeery hot off the presses due to numerous reasons, most of which are due to the fact my power was out all night and morning meaning I couldn't color this until just now. But I went the extra mile on it and drew in the background myself, so there is that. Even did that nifty dragon silhouette!

Do hope everyone enjoys this. There's one more bit of filler still to come on Wednesday, then next Saturday we'll kick off chapter sixteen, Tangled Up in Blue.

Ugh. Feel like the biggest jerk; Martin's power being out meant I couldn't see him most of yesterday, and it came on just when I was about to leave and get lunch, so just tossed him the uncolored version of this picture before leaving.

Just wake up and see this and yeah, wow. Came out awesome. ^^ Love that dragon.

Yeah, you guys ever read Elseworld stories? They were stories DC did where they'd transplant characters into odd new settings and environments, like Batman in the 19th Century, or the Justice League in the 1920s, ect. Thought "Maybe we could do that for filler."

Part of the reason I liked the idea so much is that fans could contribute and come up with other alternate-versions of the group. We've got a few other different versions of this planned, like a Steampunk version, pirate version, interplanetary version, but be neat to hear more if anyone has any suggestions.

So yeah, just tried a fantasy version of the group. Val and Grant are knights, Andy's a thief, Lore's a Barbarian, Jenny's supposed to be a sort of rebellious noble, Nicky's got a semi-pirate thing going on... I can get into a good fantasy story so was just fun coming up with stuff for it. ^^

Liked doing touches like Jenny wearing noble robes except for the ominous, spikey boots, or Lore having a gigantic hammer. Though honestly as long as we were doing a fantasy version of everything, Grant should've had wings. I friggin' love Andy having a katana, though. Honestly wish he didn't have to be non-lethal since I think that'd be cool to do in-comic.

So yeah, on Wednesday we've got another Fontainebleu page before the cover. ^^ Anyone else have any idea for Elseworld pictures? These are kinda quick to do so could try it next time we do a filler break.

This is neat, how about the Dark Ages.

Heh... I dunno offhand what that'd look like given we just did a Fantasy Sequence. I'd need references for that.

What about... adult versions? O_O

It's not something I normally suggest for comics with an abundance of kid chars, but I think it'd be neat.

Maybe a vampire one? Each of them have different aspects of vampiricnessness, or werewolfyness. Or both. Maybe just straight up, like, supernaturally.

Heh... Vampires would be neat. ^^ One of the most famous Elseworld stories had Batman fighting Dracula.

Grown-up versions I'm not sure about, though. I wouldn't mind it for fanart or anything like that, but in official capacities I try to keep it vague where the kids will end up and let it stay a mystery.

Maybe they could be part of a Mouse World- they're tiny enough to live in the walls and take stuff from normal sized people. Of course, they'd probably still be ostracized for their powers.

Heh... Can't say I would've thought of that one. ^^
