Hm. Didn't realize the Blues pages were so low. Will need to push on for the future. One thing that helps on that is that a LOT of the pages in the chapter are very dialog-heavy. A lot of standing and talking.... I feel a bit guilty but it's just a chapter more about words and connections than about action, and we need that from time to time.

Case in point, looooots of dialog here. ^^ Eheh... Again, I kinda have a weird affinity for boring "official business" talk like this. Something about it in shows and movies make it feel much more real.

Can't recall if I've said this before, but Zodiac was invented to directly subvert General Ripper stereotypes of the army guy who's gung-ho about everything and wants to go to war. He's probably the comics' most direct sign of a Reasonable Authority Figure. If anything I've been worried it might not seem probably for someone as level-headed as him to pick Sergeant Marshalls for the project.

Yeah, speaking of, Marvelous Man's narration was originally more douchey in the first draft of the script. Martin advised me to tone it down. I did like some of the little ways it showed his inner thoughts, such as in the last page where he mentions he'd already heard about Quartz being in a coma while his narration box noted, "Huh."

Antoine Colt was that bloke toward the end of the last chapter releasing a public statement against Marvelous Man's employment. Reminding folks since it comes up again later.

Not sure what I've got to say on this one offhand, but do like how it came out. Good bit of examination of the procedure on things, and ties both storylines back around to that bit at the start in the hospital instead of that solely being there to wrap up that lingering bit from the last chapter.

This isn't really that related, but doesn't hurt to mention I kind of picture with Zodiac that he enjoys his job and puts his all into it, but he's probably not all that far off, comparatively speaking, from retiring and is pretty open to it. Not really talked about it with Adam, so don't take this as a canon thing or anything, but to me he kind of comes off like someone who takes his job very seriously and who's had it as his life for years, but is probably beginning to lighten his workload a bit and getting ready to step away to spend more time with family but doesn't regret a thing. Again, just how things feel to me, don't take that as fact unless you hear it from Adam.
