Fine. There we go. Kids in a classroom.

They're not actually attending a class or anything, but we've established that the school does have classrooms and the children can be inside them, and so hypothetically, at some point, classes might take place.

Yeah, I didn't even do this to establish anything, I just wanted a place Valerie and Heather would logically go to be alone.

I like Jake and Val's exchange on how the former has no friends. ^^ "I don't but there she is anyway." Also good to get another hint that Jake's had a rather extensively bizarre past, one thing of the character I'm particularly fond of. ^^

We're also seeing Guy for the first time in a while; he's always cool. ^^ Kinda wanna see his parents again so we'd have a slightly-clearer idea of what he would look like by Proxy. Didn't get a good look at them last time.

Honestly for being a fairly minor side character we mostly just see as Heather and Valerie's other friend, we have a good bit we've talked about and thought over in regards to him. Including one particular odd little detail we kind of both came to the same conclusion on we'll need to go into whenever his parents turn up.

There's something I kind of like about the way Valerie plays off Jake compared to the rest of the group. It kind of feels like she's more willing to talk to him at his level compared to the others more kind of looking up at him. Consequence of being the oldest I guess, but I think it's more that it's just more in line with her personality to do that than it would be otherwise.

Funny thing is we actually have something of an explanation for the lack of seeing the kids in class that makes sense, just dunno when or if it'll turn up in the comics given it's kind of situational.

Yes Jake's had a very interesting life, I wonder if the fact that Vespitina's not even human is ever going to come up.
