Part of the reason I wanted to do narration-boxes here is so I could play around with the format. The boxes going over the dialog-balloons in the last panel are meant to show he's really not paying attention to what his admirers are saying.

I think narration-boxes are stupidly overdone in comic books nowadays and used in ways that don't make any sense. Some comics just use the narration boxes to show the hero's thought process and internal reaction to things as seen here. In other ones the hero's internal narration is 100% removed from what's happening and instead telling weird anecdotes which may or may not have anything to do with what's going on. Even when they are used to show a character's internal thoughts, half the time it's violating "show don't tell." The biggest exception of course being Deadpool, whose yellow-and-white narration boxes are probably my favorite characters in the book.

That's why I try to only bring them in when there's a specific point. In the Darkskull chapter it was to parody the narration boxes and further the joke. With Insomniac it was to show his ability to read minds and illustrate telepathic communication. Here I'm trying to play with the format and use it to peek at what Marvelous Man's like under the surface.

Not much to this page beyond that. Mostly set-up for the next one.

Not sure how much I've got to say this one. Kind of took me awhile to color, guess there's that to say about it, but despite that really not much leaps out to me offhand.

Yeah, I dunno, just kind of nothing to say on this one myself, think Adam pretty well covered everything going on here. Hope everyone enjoys though.
