Wasn't the name of Maggie's paper the "American Voice?" Well, that name was handed out before I actually Googled it and discovered there was already a newspaper with that name. Hence I re-named it the American Crier. Edited a prior Blues page to match it. On the plus side, American Crier lends itself to a better logo.

It was really starting to bother me how for a major newspaper we never saw anyone who worked there besides Robbie and Maggie. Hence why the first panel has such a large number of extras. Wanted to just establish that a lot of folks worked here. I'd been re-reading Negima a lot lately, so the extras here were inspired by members of the cast in the lineart, especially "Graine" at the bottom of the page, who's based off Takamichi.

Speaking of, love Martin's work on that reporter. Something about the coloring really does give the impression of a reporter who's bookish but also tough and inquisitive. He's just a throwaway extra too. Another case where I kinda didn't think much about the design when drawing it, then was blown away when Martin sent the colors back.

The name "Graine" is an absurdly obscure comic reference; it was the real name of Mr. A, a superhero created by Steve Ditko basically for the purpose of filibustering Ditko's philosophical viewpoints. Ditko was an avid follower of Ayn Rand's Objectivist philosophy, which would eventually give way to modern-day Libertarianism, hence why Graine is pushing an article with a Libtertarian viewpoint.

For an extra bit of comic geekery, he's mentioning the New Frontiersman (who appeared in the comic before covering Marvelous Man's debut) which is listed as an extremely Libertarian paper. Rorschach from Watchmen was an insult directed at Ditko's political viewpoint and a parody of Mr. A; The New Frontiersman was his favorite paper. Yeah, I'm a nerd.

For the record, I'm pretty sure that the concept of an actually nonpartisan news outlet is the most absurd thing I've ever put in this comic.

Don't know what I have to say on this one offhand. As you can see it's fairly busy, just not a lot of it worth commenting on by the time Adam outlined everything I think.

I guess one thing that could be drawn attention to is how Colt continues to come up, and learn a bit more on what he's like exactly. It'll probably be a bit before we really see him again besides the one time, but there are plans in place there.

Yeah, I think that's really all I have on this one, but hopefully everyone enjoys it.

In the last panel, the word balloon arrow isn't pointing toward MM.
