"They only gave us so many Halloween decorations so to make up the difference, we're hanging up Punisher logos."

But yeah, one major reason I was flip-flopping on what parent we'd see first and settled on Jenny was because I wasn't sure what to reveal here. I wanted every parent-meeting to have a "this explains something" feel to it, and it felt weird with Jenny since her and her dad have a close relationship. But I think her dad is why Jenny is so hung-up on everyone feeling good, working together, and functioning as a family. He's taught her just how important that is.

Plus it kinda makes sense that Jenny would be in constant contact with her dad. ^^ Constant calls, e-mails, whatever.

So yeah, this script was another case of Jake surprising me. I'd never thought about the proximity detail on his relationship with the kids. When you think about it, yeah, the kids don't live with their parents. Their parents don't help them through awkward moments, tell them to go to bed, settle squabbles, keep them from going too far on pranks, makes sure they change their clothes. Jake does. I don't think that aspect of just how close they are to him ever occurred to him either, hence why he's so surprised and uncomfortable here.

Do quite like how this page came out, think it's a good look at the role Jake plays while at the same time being amusing with some good little moments in it.

Think Adam pretty well summed it up, though, not sure what I've got to contribute. Still, think this one is pretty good, and hopefully everyone enjoys.

I guess Jake is just now noticing just much the kids mean to him and vice versa, wonder what's going to happen next.
