Huh. The method we use to blur the swear words looks a lot crummier on huge letters in the ground.... Idea on that is she transmuted the dirt into silver in the shape of her letters.

But yeah, imagine the ability to create poisonous gas probably isn't that useful in an outdoor setting where it'll dissipate quickly. On that subject, since it didn't come out that good last time, Decay Conductor pulled a gas mask out of her jacket on the second panel of that page and presumably put it on before using her powers. Kiiinda turned out too easy to miss... Eheh... ^^

We're cutting back to the school on Saturday, and... yeah, kinda ready for it. We've been focusing on Marvelous Man for a while, it feels like. Even in scripting this fight scene I realized I needed to put a scene-break in the middle to get away from the guy for a bit and actually spend time with the people who are the stars of the comic.

Honestly this chapter's so friggin' long (we're about halfway through, I think) that it easily could've been split into two chapters; one from Jake's perspective just going about his day with Vespi, and one with Marvelous Man having his weird adventure, neither chapter ever cutting back to the other. That wouldn't have really worked though, since Marvelous Man isn't the most erm... beloved character in the comic, and thirty-something pages with the guy would get pretty insufferable.

Not sure how much I have to say on this one offhand, just kind of a hook to set up for the second half of the fight coming later on in the chapter.

Do like the gag with this one, think it helps a bit more with putting over just what kind of character Decay Conductor is. Total troll, and one who is a lot more vulgar and violent than anyone else we've really seen. As said before, the idea is for her to feel like she's out of a totally different, much darker comic.

All I've really got, but hope everyone enjoys. Like Adam said, back to the center on Saturday.
