And in further news, Martin continues to upstage things. ^^ Yeah, that color job is just amazing.

I felt like "Who are you to judge me" was something that kinda needed to be said. Even Martin pointed out getting the scripts that The Insomniac cut up a guy's face last time he was here. It was kinda past time to admit that he wasn't any better or had any sort of moral highground to stand on. He just wound up "judging" Marvelous Man because being psychic means he's able to see the red flags that nobody else can. It's less because he's better than him, and more that he thinks he's the only one who can.

Fans have asked what Insomniac hopes to accomplish by fighting Marvelous man, and I think he just wants to show the guy he's not infallible and try to take down his ego a bit. Otherwise he's afraid of what someone like Marvelous Man could do without some perspective to his actions.

It segues nicely into his reasoning on what makes a person who they are; their thoughts. Another perspective on the matter directly opposed to Marvelous Man's, who believed who you are is defined by your action. Originally this speech was gonna be much longer but got cut for time.

Though for the record, Insomniac's speech about that was upstaged by the "Tell me I'm wrong" rebuttal earlier in the page. When you ask if Insomniac has any right to judge the guy for his actions, a fair answer is "Well, is he wrong?"

Random aside; I dunno if anybody noticed it, but Marvelous Man gets framed with the sun in a lot of shots and seems sort of associated with it. Whenever he's making a big speech, the sun is usually visible somewhere near him. There's really no reason for it, I just kinda like doing it. Likewise, Insomniac has a moon motif, though at least that ties into his whole "sleep" thing. When the pair first met in the comic and shook hands, the sun and moon were above both their heads.

Not really entirely sure how much I've got to say on this one offhand really. Do like how it came out, just kind of blends together with the previous one that was easier to speak on.

I do like how it came out though. A lot of this was pretty much just random spitballing with the colors and just seeing what felt right - kind of feel like I might've overdone it a little on the gradients in the process of that, but I did try to keep it reigned in a bit.

Think that's all I've really got. Moving something into the next phase of the chapter, sure a lot of readers have kind of been waiting for the other show to drop.

Wow this is deep and MM's ego is in dire need of massive deflating.

I honestly think the sun thing might be a matter of visualization of MM's ego, as if everything revolves around him, including opportune sunny backdrops, and in a sense an unintended visual metaphor for his own mindset as the ultimate light of good, that which can do no wrong and is there to make the world a better place. He feels he is the sun at he center of his universe that can do no wrong.

Finally though Insomniac starts to put the guy in check. As I have been with Insomniac from the start on this one. It isn't the results or the actions that truly define 'us'. Only we can with our thoughts. And MM's have proven him to not be a good man. Certainly a successful super hero but not in any way a good guy. It is in the end the motive which shapes us, which bends how we choose to act. So yeah...wonder how exactly he is going to change MM's way of thinking. Will he try and do as he could have done to that 'the world is tainted' guy? Truly change him. Or is he merely showing how there is no Safe haven for him to be this way anymore in his own mind in the hopes of sparking change. Metaphysical powers like mind scape battles make for very interesting possibilities on the end results.

Also when are we gonna get to see Insomniac on his date? Will we get to see it? I hope we do. They both need a little companionship from someone who understands being made into a super powered being, one on accident one with unintended consequences.

That might be it.... Bright sunny days kinda make me feel really depressed (like, just me personally) so might've just been my way of showing that I didn't care for the guy too much. Erm... Ego thing works, though. Let's go with that.

Heheh... Am really glad to see you're with Insomniac on this. ^^ Have been really worried about the "sides" of this fight. And... Heh. Don't worry, I didn't forget about the date. I've kinda had a lot in mind for that one.

Honestly, FUCK this guy. For all he whines about MM's actions and ego MM has done good while the insonic has done ZERO good with his powers.
