The last update we accidentally uploaded the wrong page. It was corrected, but please go back and make sure you didn't see the wrong thing. We're really sorry for the mistake.

Remember reader; You have rights. Always try to be informed of what those rights are and how they can be protected. If you have someone who relies on you, whether they're a child, a friend, or even a pet, try to be aware of their rights too.

Because... yeah, I genuinely didn't know that about school expulsion until I wrote this page. I googled around to see how it's done and... Yeah. Turns out you can't just come to a kid and say "You're expelled, get out" in a publically-funded school. You're required to list the reasons why and present evidence as such. Kinda goes to show why writers should always research the bureaucratic bits of things like this. You don't wanna be like Law and Order and not understand how Spousal Privilege works.

That said though, was really surprised when people started speculating if Jake was going to be able to keep his job once the whistle got blown. The guy's going to get busted for driving children to fight supervillains; he's probably going to be struggling to avoid jailtime. Not to mention an arrest like this would result in the school being shut down. Pretty much every parent would pull their kid out of this place the next friggin' day.

I had another line from Jake in the script about how Stickset's only hope of getting the kids expelled without mentioning the hero thing would be to plant drugs in their dorm rooms, but when I was adding the dialog I didn't like it way it was phrased. ... Also I could kinda see her actually doing that.

Probably a page that'd have more sting without the one accidentally going up early, but yeah, I quite like how Jake is through all this. It makes sense he would've researched the whole matter way back when, and I do like how confident and direct he is about all of it.

Seem to recall there being a bit of puzzlement over what to make Jake's middle name. Forget where exactly Arthur came from if anywhere but I seem to recall there being a bit of uncertainty about the subject. Related to that how many of our characters even have set middle names? The only other ones I can think of in the comics offhand are Alex, John, and Laura and I'm actually not 100% that Alex and Laura's have come up in-story. Think there've been a couple others but blanking on them presently.

I do kind of like continuing to put emphasis on Stickset being kind of terrible at her job, is always fun. Sort of wonder if maybe it was a budgetary thing or just friends in high places that got her the job, since she's clearly very fit to be the place's doctor / head researcher but clearly not to be the boss.

I saw the other page, I think, and honestly from what I remember it seemed like they could go in either order without too much trouble? Least from what I remember. Might be forgetting some minute detail.

Anyways, yeah, Stickset is definitely backed into a really nasty corner.

Eheh... I dunno, in the last page Jake showing up was a big deal; if you skip it it comes off as weird why he's just suddenly there. ^^ That update also skipped this current page too, meaning we'd lose the bombshell that Jake would potentially be going to prison, as well as him turning it back around by explaining the PR nightmare that would mean for the school.

Way to go Jake, he had a battle plan all set and ready to go in case something like this happened and it's so cute the way the kids all move in front of Jake when MM says he's going to arrest him.

Heheh... I like the way you phrased that; "He had a battle plan." Kinda glad people understand Jake already knowing this; was afraid it might come off as random.
