Yeah, nothing much to this bit of filler; are a pair of characters that are popping up next chapter.

There. Threw on some dialog from the girls just to give the image a bit more substance without people needing to scroll down and read the comments. Again, just a piece of art we had lying around for submission.

Y'know, what, screwit. This desert-prison name thing has been driving me nuts. I hate every name I've come up with for the place and want a better one. If anybody has something lemme know. It's really, really hard to hit "not over the top" and "memorable" for this place. But I'm sure nobody can come up with anything worse than my stuff, so lemme hear.

Okay, forty minutes before this page was set to go up I asked a friend for input and he pitched me "Lost Sierra." That's the best name I've heard thus far and might wind up going with that one, but I still kinda wanna hear if anybody has any thoughts.

Yeah, a lot of time and effort went into designing these two, with a lot of back and forth and different aspects being considered that we really can't even go into yet. Blake in particular wound up with some really unexpected directions taken with him as we went - one thing actually ends up adjusted between this and when he actually shows up in the comic just to tie into where things ended up going a bit better.

Not to take anything from Mariposa, we went through a ton of different sources trying to find just what we wanted out of her look, with a lot of trial and error along the way and a lot of things we used as influences.

Not sure what else I've really got offhand, but I do hope everyone enjoys this. It won't be long in the next chapter before these two show up.

Hmm.... Not bad, but kinda wanna make it sound like an actual prison. So whatever name it has picture "Correctional Facility" or such at the end of it.

The Strain

('Cause it looks like a pasta strainer, and if super power criminals show up there it's probably a strain to keep them locked up. I dunno.)

Heh. That picture was kinda half-baked and not-fully-formed. We've tweaked the look slightly since then so it doesn't quite have the pasta strainer look anymore. .... Now it looks like a pressure cooker.

But I kinda wanna give it a name that could pass for a real prison. Imagine "Correctional Institution" at the end of whatever name you suggest.

The Forgotten Sands Correctional Institution.
You know because most people try to forget the people in there, i mean i doubt norms want supervillians getting parole.

.... I think we might have a winner.

I see the founder of the prison was a big Prince of Persia fan.

I believe we should start a poll. Can you do polls on ComicFury? Top 5 most liked names, make a vote out of it by the fans for the fans!

The Empty Oasis Correctional Institution.

It could be called the Empty, or the Empty Oasis as a code word. (And a Fallout Reference though that's "The Big MT" Still sounds the same when spoken though.)

I dunno. I still say we should poll to see what the best one is.

Wait, can you do polls on Comic Fury? I genuinely don't know... Pity Martin's asleep, he'd know.... Empty Oasis is pretty good.... That, Forgotten Sands, and Lost Sierra are probably the ones I'd go with. I guess could just put those up in a filler all together and let folks ask, but there are a lot of people who read but don't comment and a poll would be easier.
