Yeah, for some reason it took me 20 pages into this chapter for me to realize even with Blues's perma-spring thing I could still be making things look a little bit more with the fact that when taking WaR into consideration this chapter is set in November. Kind of dense that way I guess. And yeah, that's obviously the most important part here.

Seriously though, pretty happy with this one. Lenore's always fun and I do like continuing to get the chance to just ratchet up the weirdness with her by having her have random awareness of different things or just plain bizarre habits. We've got at least one more bit of random awareness in mind for her right off that we're not really sure when we'll be able to actually bring up.

Guessing if anyone reads WaR they probably figured this was going to come up eventually, given it was mentioned before this takes place between the previous and current WaR chapters and Alex in that no longer has the cast.

Heh. Yeah, over in WaR I've been trying to give the characters more winter wardrobes; especially apparent in the O'Hara half of the current chapter. Though a certain character in the other half really ruins in.

But now that Grant's over the depression wanted to realllly get cutesy and adorable. ^^ So we brought in Lenore. Also I am so, so sick of that friggin' cast.

I think the gag of Grant saying Dorothy was pretty and Alex teasing him over it was something else I've been wanting to do for this whole chapter. It's a really good brother-ish moment... I kinda regret only having it in a flashback when I probably could've used four panels for it. ^^

I've been steadily going with Bioshock references in the comics lately; that woman in the second panel is obviously Elizabeth from Infinite.

... OH! Right! Crud... Okay, speaking of the second panel, that's something I've really been thinking about but dunno if I've brought up; I reallllly do not like the name "Stonewall City" for this place. I came up with it on a misguided thought that Stonewall Jackson was from Texas and a weird inability to Google it, and it just doesn't fit the comic's feel at all. I really, REALLY want to have it changed to Sapphire City and this is just laying the groundwork for it. Just claim that it was originally Sapphire, got changed, and this is changing it back. I dunno, thoughts? Opinions? Sapphire City just sounds more like the name of a fictional superhero town, y'know?

Sapphire City does sound more Super Heroy. And yay! Lenore!

Gladja approve on that one. Think I know when the switch might happen....
