Pretty happy with this one but kind of unsure just how much I've got to say. Sort of speaks for itself - the kids realizing there really isn't any reason they actually need to fight here, except Martina isn't quite willing to leave it to that.

How's everyone feeling on the blur censorship compared to the usual blue? Something I've kept meaning to try out, since it's pretty easy to do, and figured now was as good a time as any to give it a whirl since I'm having to set up this one.

Either way, something we've been kind of trying to convey here I think it's now a decent time to speak on is that we're wanting to give the sense Martina's been honing her skills offscreen too. Our heroes are better than they were the last time they threw down with her but so is she.

Heh. Yeah, really liked the "And then our heroes ran away!" line from Andy. But yeah, that's an issue; you don't really need to BEAT whoever else is in the forest, just first one to get to the spell and leave with it wins.

One thing that was kinda in mind for Martina that we're starting to show here is that she's slowly advancing as a mage. Like, in parallel to the kids becoming better heroes, she's becoming a stronger villain. The idea with her is that she's an aversion to "Villain Forgot To Level Grind" and she's stronger every time we see her.

There's really nothing else much to say; rather like Lore and Val, the slowest members of the group, being carried. Given how last-minute this was it kinda makes you wonder if they planned this out in advance. Like, did they say "Grant carries Val, Vespi carries Lore" or did they just grab those two first? Like, Lore's so tiny anyone could carry her.

I like when a villain goes through the trouble of working to get stronger so as to properly take revenge on the heroes and ensure their own future success. Just one more reason Martina is my favorite! Wonder if the Spencer’s private enforcers had any fun upgrades since we last saw them.

Again though he doesn’t count since they are on friendly terms now. After all he gave them their new costumes, including Lore’s new cape!

Heh. Honestly? I think Spencer is one of those characters where his friendship is just as dangerous as his animosity. Like, he's just as likely to mess with the kids as before now that he likes them. Heck, maybe even MORE likely.

I really like the last panel in this. The motion is pretty epic, and the reactions are pretty great. I also like how Nikki fled, and is like, half as tall as Jake.

On the subject of censorship, I never quite understood why anyone needed it to begin with. Especially in a comic that has violence, attempted murder, and destruction in it.

Though the blur is less gaudy then the blue. Might I suggest, if it's a neccessary thing: #$#! for censoring?

Heh. Welllll I kinda like going with a Saturday Morning-ish feel with the comic at times. Albeit a really violent Saturday Morning cartoon. Basic attitude is that "If they don't sweat, it's PG!"

Heheh... Am really gladja like that censorship bit; and the movement in the panels. Really a good compliment to know it came out so good. ^^
