We're 19 pages in already? Jeez.... It does NOT feel like it to me. Feels like we're still at twelve. Makes it weirder in that we're at the point of the script-writing where the ending is really clearly in sight but it's anybody's guess how long it could take to get there.

What else do I have on this one.... I tried to keep selling the sort of mystery of Tortoise Island, and thought this was a great sort of reveal moment with the group all landing on the island to find this. Love moments like this where you come upon the still and quiet scene after it's done but you can still put together just what happened and how bad it is.

Kinda all I have. Totally love Martin's coloring job on this island, especially the sunset-colored-sky behind them; it really gives a sense of mystery and mysticism.

I know at least one reader has figured this out exactly what this means; who else?

This page is pretty hot off the presses - been working under a bit of a time crunch on Blues lately so this one really only came together this morning. Kind of ironic, usually it's WaR that has this problem but it's actually fairly ahead at the moment.

In either case, yeah, pretty happy with this one. Naturally this is ominously setting up for later plans more than it's really directly tying into the goings-on here, but it does at least tie back into that monster subject and offer some degree of a follow-up to that. Even if it's one that only raises further questions.

Funny bit of trivia, the name for the Manga Studio layer that had the silhouettes on it is DK.

Looks like the spell that was put on the island to keep it hidden wasn't strong enough to keep the nightmare in, wonder what's going to happen next.

Yeah, I think it was designed just to keep people from GETTING to the island, there was nothing in place to keep people from leaving.

This is the perfect moment for that...and I seriously wanna see the CANDLE lunatics run into it first after limping away feeling triumphant that they've certainly at least gotten those poor people to begin to understand how wrong their magic is...when really they just got their asses handed to them.

I just like seeing them suffer.

Heheh..... I don't know if the nightmare-being is in the forest anymore; it's been decades, it could've gone anywhere at this point. But don't worry, we'll probably bring CANDLE back pretty soon. ^^
