Heh... yeah, our cyborgs finally make an appearance. I'll do full comments when I get home from work tonight; see you guys. ^^

Hey, cyborgs finally show up! Do like that they do so by way of rushing in to help out the kids. Probably not entirely intended but I do like how they're kind of buddies with them by now.

This page went through a little back and forth in writing it, mostly because Adam wasn't entirely sure how to play Sareena's reaction here or how exactly she'd feel about going along with things. Specifics play a little into plans for later pages so more to say there but yeah, did take a little talk to work out exactly how to structure this aspect.

Speaking of, yeah, Kadaram leaving when she did was a matter of pragmatism. She recognized that her presence made Nine Eyes more difficult to beat and so left.

Granted I suppose in that case Vespi should be splitting as well, though I suppose it's better to have her present as an emergency out even if her presence is somewhat detrimental when it comes to fighting Nine Eyes.

Heh. The logic on Vespi leaving wasn't something that occurred to me. ^^

But yeah, a big, big influence on this chapter was the Star Trek: TNG episode "The Chase," where the Enterprise crew, the Klingons, and the Cardassians are involved in a sort of bizarre galaxy-spanning treasure hunt to solve an eons-old mystery. One of the cooler moments is that, in the 11th hour, a Romulan ship joins into the hunt, revealing they'd been tailing everybody else through the whole adventure.

I was always going to have someone show up here, at the very end of the story, though originally it was going to be Power's group. Would've been REALLY unexpected if they showed up, and really in-character for them to hang back until it was the most opportunistic moment. For a few different reasons we wound up switching them with the Cyborgs and having them show up early with the Cyborgs popping in at the end. I think the main reason was we wanted to have it established that Misty had met Power a more than once in WaR before the pages relevant to that came up.

I kinda like how this turned out just for Glory being used as a club now. I love the idea of Nine Eyes using her like that.

For the record, I was sick of drawing Mech in that WWE coat (funny, when I first designed the guy I figured he'd only wear it once in a while) and they'd mentioned Daniel Bryant in the Best Friends Play clip I was listening to, so he's wearing a "YES! YES! YES!" shirt.

The cyborgs sure are tardy to the party, wonder what's going to happen next.
