Whoops! The book's destroyed! All for nothing!

Yeah, like I said, treasure hunt stories that go for twists. I've got work in thirty so I'll comment when I get in. ^^

I like how it's Emma of all people that picked up on and points out the French thing. And for that matter she just recognized an opportunity to get exactly what she was wanting. CANDLE are the real heroes here!

Not sure how much to say but yeah, hopefully everyone's enjoyed. Still a bit more to go in this chapter and maybe one or two more twists and turns along the way.

Heheh... Yeah, like I said before; I love treasure hunt stories with a twist and think "All for nothing" can be a good one if tried properly. Yeah, nobody gets the treasure. It's lost to history. Wa-wa-waaaaa~

The book being wrecked was always intended for this chapter, and for a lot of the planning it was also gonna be Spencer's group that did it (or Spencer himself; at one point planned on him being here in person). I wanted to have the Cyborgs sort of "Win" to show that they're competent on the same level as the other people present.

Likewise, Martin suggested CANDLE play a part in it too, since the book's destruction is their ultimate goal. He came up with a way for both Emma and the Cyborgs to be responsible at once, and it wound up giving Emma a sort of great moment. Her doing this and pointing out the French thing kind of gave me and Martin an idea for how to play her character. She's an idiot who's smart enough to know how to get things done.

...well. Can’t say I didn’t see that coming, though Candle girl being the crux of the event was surprising.

Heheh... Guess she's got some intelligence to her, doesn't she?

Funny how people can be stupid in some ways yet smart in others, I had a feeling the book was going to be destroyed, this is one of those better no hands have it than the wrong hands cases, I wonder what you guys have planned for that escaped nightmare.

Heh... Yeah, have stuff planned on that, just not sure when exactly it'll pop up. Kinda something I'm fond of but not sure where to put it in. Do hope you'll enjoy when it does, thuogh. ^^

I don’t think this is the last twist though I won’t spoil things for other readers in case I’m right.

the other good twist that could of happened would of been like, "Well.. I translated it..and it's just filled with really bad fan fiction.. the guy was a shipper.."

I want to make a Les Miserables joke but I don't think that novel was written while Fontainebleu was living in Francce....
