Not sure how much to say about this one but pretty happy with it. Do like getting to have more random hanging out like this, all nice and cozy.

Yeah, I dunno what else I've got, sort of tapped at the moment. Still, do hope everyone enjoys - next page is the end of the chapter so be sure to come by Wednesday!

Heh. Yeah, just more of the kids translating the book. This was originally gonna be just two pages but martin suggested stretching it out to 3 just to savor the kids having a happy ending for once. ^^

Kinda dunno what else to say. I liked the tickle-attack, and the talk and all that... For the record, I like the idea that Cold Iron is Iron that isn't smelted and arranged by heat; instead magic users manipulate raw Iron Ore into shapes. That was my interpretation of the stuff.

Yeah, all I got. ^^

So a specific allotrope of iron? Or just metal worked into mystic symbols?

Oh, in folklore, some monsters like faeries, trolls, goblins, ect, can be killed, repelled, or captured by Iron. In some stories, it's specifically "Cold Iron" although what that precisely means tends to be unclear. One interpretation (which is what I'm going with) is that Cold Iron is iron that was never smelted and was given its shape without using heat.
