Real quick before work; yeah, wanted to have the Blutzuckers show up after Alex appeared last time so here they are. Say hi to Lenore's folks. ^^

Was pretty easy for me to see how to go about coloring Lenore's parents - figure it fits for her dad to have this kind of muted, wintery palette while her mom is a lot sunnier and summery, which kind of come together into Lenore's usual fall palette and her creepy-but-sweet demeanor.

We've never really talked much between each other about Lenore's parents, beyond the likelihood that her mom's British given how Lenore refers to her, but I kind of got the impression coloring this page that her dad is probably a fair bit older and probably rather low-key while her mom's very lively and probably very young for having a five-year-old. Sort of figure he probably met her on some manner of overseas business and it was probably something of a whirlwind romance.

But all of that's kind of just my own interpretation and I wouldn't take any of it as canon until Adam weighs in on it or something comes up in the comic itself in some way. Not had the chance to bring it up to him, got this colored while he was asleep.

Yeah, other than the age difference kinda had the same thing in mind myself. I also kinda thought that her Mummie might've had a lot of the drive and kicked off the relationship by making the first move. Now I seriously wanna see these two in the comic proper just to get what their deal is. I also wondered if her dad was an immigrant too, possibly from Germany.

Granted, even for me this is all just spitballing and nothing's cannon. Other than the British thing (I can really see Mrs. Blutzuker sounding like Daphne from Fraiser). I think I know how they could turn up too, though would have to be a few chapters from now.

Either way, their color job looks amazing and was really happy when I woke up and saw it. ^^ Especially love the big rosey cheeks Martin gave the Mom. Hm. I should probably work out what their first names are.

It is now my headcanon that Lenore's family is somehow connected/related to Blasko.

Oooo, new commenter. Who reads WaR. Awesome. ^^ Welcome.

But... .... Huh. Crud, now I can't unsee it.

Hmm....I am pondering if I have somehow become psychic and whether I should use my probably not at all there powers for good or not quite evil...I choose not quite evil. Mischief and Tom foolery here I come!

Seriously though, I like her parents. I definitely get a slightly older soft spoken, even almost a little old fashioned in some charming ways from her dad. Like asked her grandfather’s blesssing before he proposed, etc.

Somehow I always sorta figured at least one of her parents was gonna he a charming bouncy sunny person. I have no idea why. It just fit. And she does not disappoint. I have to imagine it was probably her who first propositioned Lenore’s dad to go out. A friendly lively woman who invited him out on a whim or a good feeling and wound up apparently happily wed.

The two of them together...just add up very easily in my head to get our precious little lady Lenore.

Mind you, this is all random head canon babble at 2 in the morning, so what do I know.

Yeah, this set-up makes a freakish amount of sense to be where Lenore came from. I actually really wanna see them in the comic now. But I think a lot of the babble makes sense; probably not that far off from how they'll actually turn out. ^^ I like the idea of her making the first move.

Hmm... how does Franz Blutzucker and Marion Cavendish-Blutzucker sound?

Heh... Might work, I'm especially partial to Marion... Would have to think on it. ^^ Thanks.

I honestly have no idea what to think, you can always give the dad a wintery name and the mom a summery name.

Heheh.... True, that would work. ^^
