Heh. Yeah, part of the reason I was willing to drop the Marvelous Man thing is that the first three or four pages of the comic are entirely about him. Which genuinely do give the impression he's gonna be the comic's main star now. This and the ones following are focused on the big guy and his new telepathic powers.

In general I wanna say again how much I love the telepathy being an excuse to do narration-boxes. Narration-boxes tend to be something a lot of comic-writers do waaaaay too much of, but think the excuse of having a character who's telepathic is a great excuse to use them in limited amounts.

If you're curious, yeah, I kinda wanted to mess around more with the prison so put a quick spotlight on some random villains. I don't remember who the first one was written to be in the script but I had Reboot on while drawing it so the lineart was a (somewhat) human version of Megabyte. The woman apparently waiting trial for domestic abuse was drawn as a send-up to Anne from The Wotch. I guess she was arrested for using magic on her family over and over again.... The third gentleman, meanwhile, appears to just be a murder of crows living in the hollowed out corpse of a human. I call him Dr. Crawford.

Dr. Mariposa makes another appearance too. If you're curious on the fact that her thoughts are blank, it's partly an attempt to just raise further questions about her. I think she's probably just using something to shield her from telepaths, but there's a few different ways I think you could read that.

So yeah, Marvelous Man's telepathic now. ..... That last line of his? About nothing being the same after this? Keep that in mind when the End Of Chapter tag pops up. A big story arc should end in a big change, yeah?

If memory serves I think I'm the one that pitched the Mariposa idea. Just seemed like a natural precaution for her to take, and it just kind of does all the more to build up the mysteries surrounding her.

This one is a little odd to comment on but am pretty happy with it. Basically just the start of what'll likely be a long chapter that's going to have a ton of note going on in it. Like Adam said, "Nothing'll be the same after this," is pretty much the theme of the chapter this time around.

I should really change the logo back already. Let me go ahead and do that in a sec.

If I had to guess...I’d say Doc Mariposa has the equivalent of static or white noise playing in her brain. Whether she does it consciously or it is just a natural byproduct of her more unique and gifted mind, who can say?

But I choose to imagine that blank box as soft quiet but present static, so there!

And I find his question about self awareness hilarious. I mean...just really. I literally do not know where to begin on that.
