Just a quick set-up before work. Really scatter-brained at the moment. ^^

Whew..... Sorry about that, folks. This is my last week at work and I'm being run pretty ragged. Getting a new job at a bookstore. Odd timing given we have a man-devil throwing people out of an office building. I'm turning in my resignation today and I'm about to bake a bunch of cupcakes to hand it in with.

This is sort of the awkward part of this chapter. I've been dying to do this for a while but we have to do some establishment stuff before we can get to the meat of it. This little sequence is just part of that. I kinda did want some time showing Marvelous Man now that he's basically won and gotten everything he wants. A few pages in the comic are going to be devoted entirely to that.

The man-devil attacking his boss was actually a weird Incredibles reference; partly to Bob toss his boss through a bunch of walls, with the devil-part being a nod to Jack-Jack's demon form. I don't hate the Incredibles at all, it's just that I drew this page a month ago when advertising for the movie was in full force at the theater I work in and I desperately wanted to see a scene where someone puts a cast member in the hospital. You can only watch Craig T. Nelson barely muster up the enthusiasm to promote the movie so many times a day before you really get sick of it.

On the subject of referencing super-hero movies, that line in the first panel is taken verbatim from the Adam West Batman movie. There's a bit in the opening where some people having a picnic see Batman and Robin flying around in a helicopter and say how secure seeing it makes them feel.

Not sure how much I've got to say on this one myself. Kind of just a transition page, not a whole lot else to it.

Yeah, I dunno, I'm blanking. Hopefully everyone enjoys though. Guess one thing I could comment on on the Incredibles front is the last panel - had to get Adam to tweak this one after sending it since first go Marvelous Man there came out kind of Mr. Incredible-ish in looking like he'd suddenly put on like 30 pounds. I dunno, kind of funny to mention.

As if MM's ego wasn't already badly overinflated what in the world is going to happen now.
