Yeah, pretty happy with this one. Basically just some cuteness touching in with the families, in particular with Lori for the moment.

Do like the sort of shift over the last few appearances with her of making her more spunky and more of an oddball, think it's a pretty good fit with her and helps make her probably one of the more memorable lesser supporting characters.

Speaking of, really like that callback in the second panel.

Heh. When I originally planned this scene Lori had just taken the BAR for real. This speech feels less important because of the change, but it turns out they only hold the BAR twice a year and since we're kinda-sorta trying to pay attention to what time of year it is and I don't think it's been four months since the Halloween chapter. I don't even know if Thanksgiving has come/gone yet. Plus I get really annoyed when writers can't do the bare minimum and just Google something they're not 100% about, so wanted to keep that in.

Was nice seeing the other family members too of course. Something with Andy and his sister goofing around and Nicky introducing his folks to Grant. I like the little touches too; both Lori having the fire-fighter calendar she mentioned in her last appearance, and her ringtone for whenever Lore calls her is "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic."

The big running idea with Lori is that she's a total dork but she's still really cool. I gave her this big devotion to justice, trying your best, and reaching your dreams, so you can see where Lore got a lot of her inspiration for being a super-hero from. Like, she's got the kind of ideals and wisdom you'd see from Uncle Ben but she's also always saying the weirdest things.

Oh, right, as long as we're talking about doing research.... the implication has been that Lori is pretty young; imagine she graduated really early and is extremely young to be getting out of Grad school (Kinda fitting since Lore also takes classes with much older kids). But the fact that she's about to take the BAR apparently means she's at least 21.

HA! Holy crap! Lori has devotion to justice and ideals, is really young to be taking the bar, and is always blurting out weird awkward statements that people take in stride! She's basically an Ace Attorney character!

Very cute, fun and silly page, but I'm terrified of what's going to happen when we see MM again.
