Nnn... Day off and I wish I was working.... Heh... Yeah, page is fun, though.

Again, more into the specifics for how the kids work and how to twist it against Marvelous Man. Fans have noticed his beam-powers are less-evolved than Valerie's, and admittedly the main reason he has them is so everyone (except Nicky) is included in his power set. But the beam-thing has been pretty useful in fights so don't regret him having it. This explains that his cells aren't as good at absorbing energy as hers, and he never bothered learning how to manipulate his output the way she can. The reason for the former, we'll see shortly, is that his cells being invulnerable means they can't absorb energy as well.

Most scenes with Marvelous Man have him in frame with the sun and/or bright lights. It's behind him or above him in most shots, he only takes off the costume if it's night, he's first introduced with a blinding flash.... There's really no symbolism to this, doesn't represent anything, ect. I just dislike bright sunlight so I tied it in with the series' first major Arc villain. That's it. But I tried to use the "only gets energy from the sun" as a really transparent way of explaining the connection.

I'm still trying to write Marvelous Man as a (jerk-ish) super-hero. The way he grabs Nicky and uses him to yo-yo Jenny into his hands is the sort of cool, cocky thing that Superman would do back in the Superdickery days.

Ugh. Been a really up and down day for me myself. Might go into it some other time but for the moment, yeah. Confusing situation right now.

Anyway, yeah, pretty happy with how this one came out but don't really know how much I have to say about it. A problem on a lot of the pages in this sequence to be honest. Eh.

Heather is apparently a really sound sleeper.

I really like that the kids have made other plans to defeat MM, again it shows what kind of heroes they are and how they are learning to be better.

And I don't think MM is invulnerable, there are ways to take them down, there are ways to hurt him they have just not been found out yet.

Shouldn't Lore be saying sleeping next to Heather, not sleeping next to Lenore?
