Heh... Well, hats off to Wolfintina; we had folks guessing on this and she's the one who got it right. ^^ Our guest-hosts are the C.A.N.D.L.E. girls.

If you missed it, Emma has a twin sister living in Atlanta running the Southeast-branch of Candle.

Basically we liked the idea of the group and its goofy lead to restrict them to one comic, and the idea of them being twins just felt like a fun way of doing it. They're actually quite a lot of fun to write together I've found, with Emma being the goofy, bubbly one and Ella the stern, serious one, but both on the same level when it comes to competence and intelligence.

Again, these two are just temporary replacements for Lenore and Xandy, who'll be back next break. In the meantime I've got some specific stuff I wanted to have these two get into during their hosting time. Hope you folks enjoy~

Yeah, if anyone hasn't seen previously, Emma has a twin sister named Ella who recently debuted over in Wright as Rayne. The characters were essentially conceived together, just Emma was the one who ended up showing up first; chances are both of them will be in both comics at some point, but for the time being consider Emma a Blues character and Ella a WaR one since that's largely where we'll be seeing each of them.

But yeah, this was a pretty natural pair to take over the hosting duties while Xandy and Lenore are out of commission, particularly given some of the ground the filler will be covering. We'll get to that soon enough however.

Also, more Rick! Yeah, he's still kind of on the backburner at the moment but he is someone we're kind of gradually scaling up the visibility of. We'll be having another installment of his blog coming up during this break but I'm not sure offhand when; either way though it's definitely on the agenda to get to, gotta keep building up where that is going. The payoff to that will be as part of this next arc and we're very much hoping people are going to really enjoy it because it's an idea we have a blast with.

... I realize these two would theoretically have the same issue as Xandy and Lenore in being separated by distance, but at least they can drive.

I don't think this is going to be an idiot show, I mean Emma is kind of dumb but her sister is very smart.

IIII think they're about on the same level, just Emma is more professional and it's harder to tell. ^^

Like I said before when I really thought about it the annoying gadfly twins seemed like a natural choice, this is going to be a very interesting filler indeed.

Yeah, we were worried it was a bit obvious, glad you're interested for this set. ^^

I kind of think of then like Cosmo and Wanda from the early episodes of Fairly Odd Parents. Alone, neither is especially stupid, at worst naive and silly. But each of them make two halves of a whole adorably judgemental conclusion-jumping idiot!

And I mostly mean that in a sweet way to be clear, because as ridiculous as they are, I actually enjoy their antics. They’re the most adorably yappy underdogs in a world so set against them by its validation of super heroes!

Heh. Yeah, that's probably a good way of summing it up. ^^ Gladja like the pair so much, we always have fun messing around with them.
