Is it fanservice or am I just too lazy to keep drawing those highly-detailed uniforms? You decide. Tired, comment after work.

Yeah, the cape thing was a deliberate decision with the character for a long time. There actually is an explanation for it -

bluebloodheroes.thecomicseries.com/comics/424

The overall idea is basically just that it's a subconscious effect from the telekinetic field being used to fly. It's something of a handwave but it does at least make sense, I guess the field just extends a little farther with Marvelous Man than it does to this point with Grant.

I really like how over-the-top Adam's been going with Ella's expressions. Feels like it does a good job of really putting over just how hard she tries to be stern and serious and how ridiculous it ends up making her look.

Heh. Yeah, to those of you woh are hard-core comic geeks, Grant (and MM by proxy) has Tactile Telekinesis. I absolutely have to have the former realize that just to make the Superboy jokes.

This isn't anything too major, but really wanted the chance to go into it. Again, these are just random, fleeting thoughts I had on the arc. I really was amazed at how quickly the fans hated Marvelous Man, since I was fully planning to make him evil form the beginning but didn't see the distaste coming so early. Part of it might've just been how impersonal he came off always wearing the costume. ..... Then again, I DID introduce the guy by strangling a person who had more or less been rendered powerless so that might have more to do with it.

Something I meant to discuss more is that Marvelous Man started to act violent at all the points where he wasn't wearing the costume. When he's got it on he's mostly amicable or smiling, when he takes it off he starts being crueler. When his costume's nearly blown off during the Decay Conductor fight he goes crazy and starts using lethal force, first time he's totally without it he's talking down to a cop.... Then bad-mouthing Qrime Qure's wife, grounding the kids, brainwashing Margaret, all done out of costume. Again, not really intentional, just something I noticed.

And yeah, is the fact that they're in their underwear now just fanservice or am I too lazy to keep drawing their costumes? ..... Of course it's both. Has no one been paying attention?

I continue to love these adorably clueless underdogs. All they do is make me wanna cheer them on more with their antics and conclusion jumping. I still prefer Xandy and Lenore though. The pure unbridled cuteness is impossible to beat.

Far as the page itself, I never cared for Marvelous Man. I made that pretty clear plenty of times. The guy raised a bunch of red flags for me from the get-go, though I did want to give the guy the benefit of the doubt that he might only be a clueless jerk in service to the government, instead of the raging dumpster fire of a horrible person we saw.

We have seen MM’s arc play out and so far have no evidence to back up babygirl’s long held theory that the powers had any effect on his brain. All they did was give him power that he seemed to feel justified anything he chose to do, and later on a power that let him justify himself in the minds of others. He always had the power to do better. He chose not to. Even before he had the powers as evidenced in Who Blue Truly Are when he bribed the evaluator.

Almost every awful thing he did was his choice. I won’t blame him for Qrime Qure or the time he curb stomped the kids in a trance. One was the best decision he could have made with his knowledge at the time to protect people, and the other...dude was in a trance.

I never liked Marvelous Man. He is going to make Mariposa cry when she has to make him not shiny.

Your right Rastaba I prefer Xandy and Lenore too.

But The pure unbridled cuteness is possible to beat, I mean Miss Tickle and Dr mariposa could be just as cute.

I actually find Marvelous Man interesting I mean what made him this way, what was his life was like when he was a kid, and what is his sister like?

I won’t say there was no evidence to my theory, but the evidence is weak at best.

I come up with the theory mostly about what Andy said about what could have made Qrime Qure go crazy, and that got me thinking about McCay AKA the insomniac.

What if the being made into an ABB AKA artificial blue blood and that’s what made him go crazy, now I know it’s from him not being able to sleep but I think becoming an ABB enhances some traits in a person’s brain.

Like MM, why’ll he may have all ways been a douchebag I think he had some noble qualities, but when he became an ABB what noble qualities he had went down the crapper, kind of like McCay I mean he did stalk MM, and I know why he did it but that was still all kinds of illegal.

And your right MM is going to make poor baby Mariposa cry. That monster.

Miss Tickle and Mariposa...Could be rather cute. I will give you that, but still don’t think they’d beat out Xandy and Lenore. All four though and their universe would implode from raw cute, even if it is just filler.

And Qrime Qure was driven crazy by more than just the suit and powers. Between the legal loss of his identity, and either possibly pre-existing conditions that caused him to believe the events of Spider-Man was his life, or else had a life as awful as Spidey’s and just coincidentally similar, and the dude’s crazy can’t JUST be blamed on the suit. Though it definitely didn’t help. The fact that his powers are not the result of turning him into a blue blood, far as we know, also invalidates anything using his apparent descent as a basis.

I will though also give you that Marvelous Man, once upon a time, HAD noble or redeeming qualities. As you yourself said though, had. Past tense. And I believe he lost those before they even gave him powers, when he chose to bribe the evaluator to get those powers. He believed he was doing it for the right reason, or at least convinced himself he did it for such.

Insomniac though, absolutely. Massive amounts of Sleep deprivation is not a legal excuse for stalking in any circumstance. Totally with you there, that goes beyond illegal and into just plain creepy. Dude needs a new hobby or twenty if stalking Genight’s pet projects is all he has to do.

All four of the girls together would be very cute, maybe at a tea party.

And yes your right there could have been something wrong with Qrime Qure before he even put on the suit, but it’s what Andy said about the suit that made me think, could the same thing happen to ABB’s as well.

Your right that MM may have lost those noble or redeeming qualities before they even gave him powers, that’s why I said he may have all ways been a douchebag, but I all so said that becoming an ABB
may enhanced some traits in a person’s brain.

Like MM’s douchebagness or McCay inability to sleep. Why because McCay inability to sleep may have come from him being a former CIA man, I mean he may have had to pull all-nighters to get the bad guy.

So his inability to sleep may have come from that.

But we would need to see one or two new ABB’s to see if they would go nuts as well.

Your kind of right about McCay’s sleep deprivation is not a legal excuse for stalking in any circumstance, but at the same time no one has been awake as long as he has, I mean all in all any normal person should be dead by now if they were half wake as McCay.

Sorry girls, but I’m pretty sure the only fanservice the readers of the comic prefer is that of the cutesy type. They couldn’t care less about boobies.
