Time skip!

Yeah, the first couple of pages of the chapter are pretty much a quick, "Here's what's been going on in the immediate aftermath," bit of catching up to the present day. Probably not the easiest page to comment on given that but still on the whole pretty happy with it.

Kind of blanking on aspects of it to comment on though. Kind of anything that does stand out would be easier to go into a little later in the chapter. Is good to see this quick reaction from Andy's parents though, sure some people were curious about that and how the other parents (and Lori) are taking it. Funny thing to say about the fact he's wearing a hood but we'll get to that.

... So how obvious is it I was in a Persona mood when I colored this page?

Heheh... Yeah, as we mentioned, the first two pages of the chapter are just meant to be rapid-fire newsclips showing to the reader what all's been happening since the end of the last chapter.

These two pages were actually really hard to write since I had to establish a LOT of what's been going on since the time-skip. We see immediately from this page that...
-It's been a month since the Marvelous Man arc.
-Marvelous Man is now in prison and arrested.
-The school is temporarily being shut down, in part because a lot of parents have withdrawn their kids (established earlier with Xandy).
-Jake is pleading not-guilty to his criminal charges and is now in jail awaiting trial.
-The kids' are all back with their families now that the school's shut down, and are being hounded by the media.
-Late night jokes are mostly terrible.
-The District Attorney is uncertain about prosecuting Jake.

Yeah, a lot to really throw out all at once, but don't worry, the entire chapter is just about playing catch-up, and after these first two pages we're gonna slow down and get back with the kids again.

Was weird seeing Senator Howlend, the congressman who endorsed the Blues school again. Been since Chapter 2.... Likewise if you're wondering why Marvelous Man's bald in that second panel, it's because we greatly regretted just making him go entirely bald after being hit by Val's ultra-beam. I guess they shaved it in jail rather than let him keep that patchy-thing that was so irritating to draw. He'll probably keep that bald look if/when he shows up again.

Is the late-night-talkshow thing a low-hanging joke? I discovered a few days ago it's appraently a common enough gag that there's even a trope for it, but just felt it was appropriate. I just kept flashing onto the comic-book version of Dark Knight Returns, with the painfully-unfunny host working off the Joker. I mean, I'm really not a fan of most late-night talkshows. Conan's the only one I watch, and for every one Conan there's like twenty Jimmy Fallons.

Oh, there's a LOT more crazy stuff. This barely scratches the surface. ^^

This is a really good and why’ll I would have liked to see/read the kids parents immediate reactions, but this still good.

I am happy you made MM bald, truth be told if you dyed those patches green, it would look like broccoli was growing out of his head.

And its good MM is not out of the game yet, we still have Decay Conductor still running about, and who knows she may kill him or team up.

Plus now that MM is no longer a superhero in the eyes of the people he may go the superman rout in the injustice games and try to take over the world.

Sorry could not help it.

But seriously MM could go superman in the injustice games rout. I like that wawwipop bit, if you guys make an ABDL superhero or supervillain you should have that bit put in.

And lastly what is the insomniac doing right now? Is going help because some of this is his fault too.

Heh. Don't worry, I hear the Bison meme every time someone says that phrase. ^^

But yeah, don't worry, we are definitely gonna be seeing some more in-depth discussions on parent reactions and we've not forgotten about Decay Conductor.

Insomniac's presumably still trying to get his insomnia cured. Kinda his thing.

Good that you even with out the clip you still got it.

But anyway its good that we have not seen the last of Decay Conductor and I hope we all so get to see MM's parents and sister as well.

Heh. Would it help if I said some other kids got it worse?

Ah the beautiful media chaos of under age Super heroics. How I enjoy thee. I honestly look forward to seeing more of this, or pushing forward to the other kids dealing with this, given Andy is clearly in the dog house for it. I especially look forward to Val and her family and their reactions to their daughter’s live on air confession.

Where’s Leonard Spencer to be their eccentric overly inspired morally ambiguous sponsor when they need him? Pretty sure he’s rich and connected enough to get away with the whole ‘preteen super hero team’ thing considering he seems to moonlight as an eccentric billionaire villain with cyborg body guards for no reason than fun.

Lastly...THANK YOU for shaving Marvelous Man’s head. His hair was THAT bad that I am pretty sure he’d have agreed. Hell he might have even done it himself if he wasn’t such a Superman wannabe and didn’t wanna look all Lex Luthor.

Lastly, Babygirl does have a point that this is in some part the Insomniac’s fault. While I have little doubt MM would have eventually wanted more powers and sought out ways to receive them, the Insomniac did push him to act sooner rather than later, as well as prompted him seek out mind reading/manipulation type powers specifically.

So let’s see how he feels about this hot mess he at least had a hand in bringing about sooner rather than later.

Oh, don't worry. We've got plans for Spencer. ^^

HA! Glad someone else thought that about the hair. ^^

Heh. I dunno how much blame Insomniac can really take for what happened after that fight. While taking his anger out on MM was certainly wrong, it's not like he mind-controlled him to become evil, and sort of just laid bare his faults as a person. I think even if he didn't get greater power, Marvelous Man would've flipped out all the same. That confrontation with Margaret without that power was gonna end painfully no matter what... Awkward part is that while we do have plans for Insomniac, they won't come about until after this arc....

I don't know about that, after MM speech in Tangled Up In Blue, pages 51 to 52 that should have raised a big red flag for Insomniac that MM was not playing with a full deck.

I mean from MM's mind, Insomniac saw how massed up he is, so truth be told, Insomniac should not have tried to push MM like he did.

All so here is an idea maybe have Insomniac eating at a diner and he sees the news about what happened to MM and the kids and he has they of fuck face on his face.

And its not just Insomniac’s fault that MM went to get mind reading/manipulation type powers specifically, he all so exposed the kids to MM.
