Jeez.... I guess this is a good time to go into what the Peacekeeper's deal is, story-wise... ..... Nnnnn, can wait until the next chapter. ^^

One of the original plans for this chapter was to have this sequence with the Peacekeepers WAY longer, and be more of a full introduction to them (Hence why we teased them in the between-chapter filler). For that matter, the flashbacks to each of the kids' parents finding out were going to be longer, with each playing out more like whole scenes of their own. But I quickly got really into how tight this chapter was, focusing really directly on the kids all meeting up and seeing everything secondhand through them. That meant the Peacekeepers intro had to be scrapped; don't worry, we'll see them next chapter.

A few minor tweaks came about to their designs too. When we showed off the previews, fans said Gibraltar looked like a plant-being, when his thing is supposed to be rocks. Tweaked his design a bit to be more rock-like, especially with this growths coming out of his body. We might alter him more going forward; I wanna make him uglier and more jagged. Protocol is meant to wear a helmet in combat, so you're seeing that here. The Wrecker's skin was made darker and his hair went from "pretty frosted" to "straight-up Guile."

For the record, Lore's meant to be in the wrong on not trusting them from the get-go. I liked the flaw of her personally being uneasy around Marvelous Man even BEFORE he started getting involved with her and I kinda wanted to keep it going. We'll see how she reacts to them directly fairly soon. ^^

If you're curious, the people they're fighting are no one special, just placeholders. I had been playing Skyrim's Civil War storyline around when I drew this, so Protocol's arresting a modern-day, neo-nazi Ulfric Stormcloak. She's even put a high-tech gag around his mouth like the one he's wearing at the start of the game. As for the dude Wrecker's elbow-dropping, since I just gave him Guile-hair, I just threw a lot of Street Fighter attributes around on the dude. He's got Charlie's bangs, Vega's ponytail, Akuma's beads, and Sagat's scar.

For what it's worth Protocol's armor was also made a lot more vibrant of an orange, but that's kind of just progression from that concept art we showed off being from something like a year and a half ago at this point. Also this wasn't shown off but originally the display on her visor was green; it was changed to dark red since it just showed up better against the orange. We also went through some minor changes in regards to her collar and neck but no huge deal there.

Like Adam mentioned, this was all going to be a lot more directly spotlighted in this chapter but he decided to do a lot of trimming the fat in regards to it. Next chapter will be giving us a good proper look at the Peacekeepers and should have a fair bit of time devoted to it.

Still, do think this does at least convey pretty well what exactly their deal is - rotating group of members, half of the ones we previously showed off aren't part of the core ensemble, and they roam the country addressing issues. We'll get some more direct spotlight on what these three's deals are and who the other three members are (though we've seen Marina in action before in all three comics at this point; will have more to say about her in regards to this group when we get back to that) next chapter. Very close to the end of this one.

Rastaba
So basically sort of a baseless (as in lacking a home base to my understanding) parallel to the Avengers and the Justice League, have their core line-up, rotate in heroes on occasion, auxillary members, honorary members, and all that jazz?

Also I really just wanna know. Why does the guy named Wrecker, presumably since Gibraltar is the rock guy and we know Protocol, have a big ‘R’ on his costume? I would have accepted like a P for the Peacekeepers, but an R? Gotta be a story there.

Lastly, to Grant’s point, I can see why people think that. People would be wrong. Very wrong. Stupidly self-endangeringly wrong.

HA! Yes, exactly, was going for a feel like a "real" team, that rotates out members like the Avengers or JLA. ^^

But... The reason for the R is because I've been going back and forth if the guy's name is Wrecker or Recker. R is from a point where we were gonna make his name the latter. Just editted the page to go for Rex The Wrecker since his given name was always meant to be Rex.

Good to know the Peacekeepers are trustworthy, very interesting, wonder what's going to happen next.

Eheh.... Yeah, after the Marvelous Man arc we really didn't want to do another storyline about an overseeing superhero who's evil. ^^ Wanted to do something with some Reasonable Authority Figures the kids genuinely needed to prove themselves to.

Hay are we going to see what MM is up too?

Erm... Jail? I kinda have seen enough of MM to last a long time, no intention of visiting the guy for a while.

Like the tweaking you did to Gibraltar. Now he looks more like a rock guy then a plant guy.
